I was skeptical that this would work because of the difference in impedance between the headphone jack and the RCA audio jacks. However, this works perfectly. No hum or other unwanted sounds are added to the audio signal.

I purchased this product to "pipe" my computer to my receiver for streaming Netflix movies from my computer to my projection TV! We have surround sound speakers, and while not DVD quality, the stereo sound is there and is better than expected. Don't bother purchasing the Roku box if you can connect your video from your computer to your "TV"; use these by plugging them into your headphone jack on your computer then connecting to the audio inputs on your receiver or TV.

As another review pointed out if you find a dock redundant, this is a very good option to connect most audio sources with a 3.5mm stereo output jack. This cable is a very sturdy product. The insulation feels very sturdy and the pins are very solid and fairly big(if that's what you want). I found the cable to be adequately lengthy.
Another point to note is that I heard absolutely NO hum while using it. I use it for both my iPod Touch 2g and laptop and connect them to a receiver. Its a great way to get sound from your PC to your sound system. I don't understand people buy separate devices to stream audio and video out of a computer. Also, the customer picture shared by 'William Hardin' is misleading. These cable pins are NOT gold coated. All in all they are a great buy. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Update XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Update: I don't get signal from one line of sound. The problem seems to be fixed when I loop the cable and cause a stretch at the end of the jack. Clearly there seems to be some sort of a lose connection in the cable. And it is surely a problem with a cable as I have tried it with a multitude of devices. For this reason, I brought my rating down from a 5 to 3. I really didn't think it would give me problems in a few months. Maybe I just got a faulty cable.

I wanted to link our BOSE WAVE RADIO to my IPOD TOUCH (2nd gen.) and looked all over the Internet for a simple, inexpensive solution. No one could guarantee that the IPOD connector would fit a Touch G2 (connector is somewhat different than the Touch G1). Finally saw this cable system that links through the IPOD headphone jack instead of the IPOD connector. I decided to give it a try based on the good reviews. The product was shipped quickly, and I plugged it in and was enjoying beautiful music via the BOSE in less than a minute. The cables are sturdy and the connectors are great quality. It was quick and easy to connect, and the price was under ten bucks with free shipping. This is a real winner!

i have this cable plugged into my sirius satellite radio from my car stereo. just make sure your car stereo has AUX ports. much better audio quality than using an fm transmitter. have had no problems with it. works great.

If you are contemplating purchasing a similar off-brand product for a slight savings, consider this product as worth the extra couple bucks.
I have bought multiple Stereo link cables in the past, normally generic cables for $2-3 less than these and I've also picked up monster cables in the past -- The sound quality on the Belkin cable is great compared to the off-brand, and is comparable to monster cables. These cables reduced a lot of interference noise i was receiving when linking my computer output to my TV -- I had assumed this was a sound card issue and not a cable issue, but this cable cured the problem. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking to output sound from a PC through your TV.

I ordered these to play my Ipod on my Sony Stereo system. Also to plug my Vizio HD into my stereo, and they work great.
My Stereo has L & R audio in, and the signal comes in crystal clear. No buzzing. Same for when I use the headphone jack from my TV. The cables themselves are sturdy, and plenty long enough at 7 Feet. Good price too!

I bought this after reading the reviews here, but was a bit skeptical if it would work on my little stereo. I works great!! Hooked up my 5G iPod video to the stereo, and the sound is just as good as playing a CD. I am impressed. It has a fairly long cable, and good connections. You still maintain control of the iPod with the wheel, unlike some car stereo units. The price has come down considerably, so even better. I would recommend this.
I am not sure how it would work connecting to the TV, but I don't need it for that. I believe other reviewers have commented on that. Good price + good sound = good deal

I decided to pay a little more for one of these since the last one I bought (different cable altogether) lost the right channel capability. This item arrived very quick. I have it hooked up to a 15+ year old home theater receiver and it works very well. I am extremely satisfied. The cable is very thick which means it shouldn't lose too much of a signal, which is an awesome thing. This cable even looks nice!
If you are unsure of what it does, it takes any device (iPod, PSP, MP3 Player, and laptop are a very few of the plethora that this can connect) that has headphone capability and can push the signal to your home theater (using the Red and White connectors). It is very useful in my opinion. Other than that, there isn't too much to say about it, except that the price was awesome too. It works, it's well constructed, it's cheap, it looks great. What more can you possibly ask for in a simple cable? Not too much. |
