Product Description

Color: Black

Strong enough to pass the US Military 1.8-meter/6-foot drop test, the Belkin APEX360 Advanced Protection Case features a durable exterior and shock-absorbent frame that protect your iPad mini from damage. A clasp closure keeps the case shut tightly. The contoured outer shell is easy to grip, offering protection while minimizing bulk. The removable screen cover converts to a QuickStand for hands-free viewing, and grooves along the inside allow you to adjust your iPad mini to your preferred position.

A durable exterior and shock-absorbent frame protect your iPad mini from damage.

The protective screen cover can be removed and used as a stand for hands-free viewing.

Reinforced Frame Protects iPad mini From Drops Up To 6 Feet

The APEX360 Advanced Protection Case is designed with a durable, rubberized material to protect your iPad mini from extreme drops, bumps, and dings. Repeatedly subjected to US Military 1.8-meter/6-foot drop testing, this case is built to provide exceptionally strong protection. Protective ridges along the inner frame create insulating air pockets that absorb the shock of impact, so your iPad mini stays safe even when dropped. A clasp closure keeps the case securely shut, while the contoured comfort-grip design makes it easy to hold onto your iPad mini.

Protective Screen Cover Converts To QuickStand

The protective screen cover can be removed and used as a stand for hands-free viewing. The QuickStand supports both portrait and landscape modes, so you can read a book or watch a movie in your preferred view. Place the QuickStand on any surface, position your iPad mini in your chosen position, and the magnetic stand will automatically snap into place. The screen cover is also magnetically attached, so it's easy to put on and take off. Remove to use the case by itself, and then snap it back on before heading out the door.

AutoWake Magnets For Easy On And Off

AutoWake magnets wake up your iPad mini when you open the cover and turn it off when it's closed, prolonging the battery life.

Grooved Inner Lining For Comfortable Viewing Position

Position your iPad mini at the angle that suits you best. The inner lining of the case is set with grooves so you can adjust your tablet to your preferred viewing position. For comfort, the APEX360 case can fold backward to a low, ergonomic angle to ease stress on your wrists as you type on your touchscreen.

Compatible With The iPad mini

The Belkin APEX360 Advanced Protection Case for iPad mini is compatible with the iPad mini. It is available in both black and fuchsia.

Great case overall; every feature in the product description performs as advertised. I'm very satisfied.

I got my ipad mini retina a few days before the Apex360 arrived and I really enjoyed using the mini without a case. It's thin and light and a pleasure to hold. I was a little bit disappointed when I put the Apex360 on and it felt like the weight more than doubled. The case isn't light or thin, at least not compared with the ipad but I'm really pleased with it and I think it's a good trade off considering the protection and the stand feature. Even without a case, I found the mini to be just a bit too heavy and awkward to use one-handed for any length of time anyway.

Installation seemed easy but the sleep button didn't work properly. Took the case off and the plastic ring around the camera port popped out, but it was easy to replace. I re-installed making sure to press the button-side of the ipad into the case first and now the lock button works perfectly. UPDATE: Thought the camera ring fitment was causing the sleep button issue but after reading other reviews, my experience makes more sense. My sleep button has been working perfectly for months now so I'd encourage people to give the installation another shot because It didn't take much fiddling to get it lined up and fit properly.

The magnetic stand is really cool. The magnet is strong enough that I can open the cover and drag it around the ipad so that the stand is working in portrait mode and the magnet allows that repositioning without the cover/stand coming off of the case. I removed the cover/stand altogether once to read in bed, it's cool that it comes off but it lives on my ipad most of the time.

I thought about getting one of those wedge pillows but the stand works well in my lap.

As others have mentioned, it doesn't fit the iPad Mini Retina correctly. The sleep/wake button is constantly depressed. No amount of fiddling or removing pieces helped. Somehow the iPad remains usable so the case can still function. The rubber is nice to hold and the case works well as a gaming grip.

Too bulky, but the main issue is that the Sleep/Awake button is difficult/impossible to press and also periodically activates the button continuously prompting the device to attempt to turn off. Completely unusable. Tried several times taking the case on and realigning buttons. Removed cameral hole grommet, still nothing. Returned.

You can turn it off but when you turn it back on using the top "on" button. It turns on and off about six or more times before it hopefully turns on the ipad mini. You waste about five minutes doing this.

When you stick your headphones into the jack, the music does not come out of your headphones.

Both problems are solved if you take your ipad mini out of the protective case, but then you don't have the protection of the case.

This is an product engineering error, and to me, it is a deal breaker.
Don't buy this flawed product

After spending quite a while searching for an iPad Mini Retina case that would survive the potentially abusive environment of a hospital, I settled on the Belkin APEX360 as the probable best of the current bunch for my needs.

I liked the 6 foot drop rating, the built-in stand, the ability to use the stand in both portrait and landscape orientations, the option to easily remove the cover, the fact that it was a smart cover, and the overall shape including the sculpted finger grips on the back. I also liked that it didn't have anything to directly shield the touchscreen, although some of you may find that a negative.

And yet if you read the reviews on this product, you'll learn that it may not actually work that well with the Mini Retina... due to the lack of a rear microphone hole, and fiddly issues with the power button.

Well, I took a chance... and sure enough, Belkin's updated their design (look for revision B00)! There's now a hole on the back for the rear microphone, and I had absolutely zero issues with the power button - it's worked perfectly from the first time I fitted the iPad.

The magnetic cover attaches and removes very easily (no fiddling), rotates smoothly and positively into landscape and portrait positions, and has decent feet/notches for keeping it in a propped-up position. The rubber back has a nice grippy feel and no odd smells.

The cover, however, may not be quite as nice as the rest. It's got a deeply textured line design that I'm sure is going to fill up with gunk, it doesn't fold back very well for holding in one hand, and the latch isn't particularly easy to open (good in some ways, bad in others).

I admit it--I hated this cover when I first put it on my iPad Mini. I was just going to tolerate it until I could order a cover from the apple store. But a funny thing happened while I waited for my next paycheck--I gradually fell in love with this cover.

At first, I thought it was too big, too bulky. Now, I think it is perfect for me.

I recently made the switch from the Kindle Fire to the iPad mini. I had a hard time adjusting to the super small side area of the screen--I'd accidentally turn pages on my books by just holding the iPad. It drove me bonkers! This cover gives me something to hold onto without changing my book's pages.

Pros:
- Completely protects edges
- Removable cover. Easy pop on and off with magnet
- Hard cover protects iPad mini - This is a must for me as I keep mine in my purse.
- Cover can be maneuvered into different positions to keep your device propped up.
- Buttons still accessible (i.e. on/off button, volume, home)
- Gives you something to grip/hold without accidentally changing the screens.

Cons:
- Does add weight to this very lightweight device
- At first, the on/off button on the top corner wouldn't work with this device. I could push, but it wasn't lined up properly. After a few days, it somehow self-adjusted and it works now. Weirdness.
