I was attracted to the fact that this switcher had a remote control. The packaging and build of this unit seems quite solid and I was impressed. Well....that's about all that was good about it. The switching worked fine, but there was NO audio signal that was transmitted throught the switcher. I returned it and bought another switcher (that was even cheaper!) and while the other brand did not have remote control, it did work flawlessly. So, I do have to get up and go over to the replacement unit (different brand) and push a button. Save your money, do not buy this brand!

I have an older surround sound receiver that doesn't have HDMI input. My HD TV only had one HDMI input. Therefore, when I got a Sony Playstation 3 to use for HD movies, music and games, I couldn't use an HDMI cable to hook it up to my TV since I already had my HD DirecTV DVR hooked up to the TV. I bought the Belkin switch as a much cheaper alternative to getting a TV with multiple inputs or a new receiver with multiple inputs. It works great! I switch back and forth between HDTV and the PS3 with ease and no sacrifce on picture quality.
Note: You do need at least 3 HDMI cables (one from the switch to the TV or receiver and two from the switch to the two devices). I was tempted to buy the $5 cables I saw on Amazon but went with some $20 cables from BJ's instead.

I have only 1 DVI input into my TV and needed this for my Directv HD receiver and my blue ray. It works well and you can program it w/ your a logitech remote to switch to either input (Watch TV or Watch Movie). Good Buy. I would recommend it.

Works Great! I use it to feed my satellite HD DVR and Blue Ray player to my HDTV, with a DVI adaptor. I get great HD quality!

This is a great HDMI switch for 1.0 HDMI cables, it doesn't support 1.3. My setup was a DIRECTV HD DVR and PS3. Both of these with 1.3 HDMI cables rendered video but no audio. Directly plugging the HDMI 1.3 cable into the TV worked fine.

The switch is very small so you can easily hide it anywhere among your HDMI cables. I placed it behind my LCD TV and put the remote IR sensor just behind the glass of the TV stand. The remote control is the size of a credit card and consists of two chicklet-type buttons. It works just fine with the remote IR sensor. I'm using it to switch between my PS3 and DVD/VCR recorder. If there is any signal loss with this device I haven't noticed any. I looked at a similar switch a few months ago but couldn't justify getting it with the $100 price tag. I'm glad I waited and got this one for much less!

Works Great. Simplified selecting inputs greatly. Simple installation. We were up and running in no time. Works just as good as the more expensive switches. The one from RS went back!!!

I bought this so I could connect two HDMI sources to my Plasma TV. This product did the trick. It comes with a infrared remote to make the switch, but one added bonus I was unaware of is that it automatically will switch if you turn one of the sources off. If you have two sources that both switch off, (usually a DVR/Cable box you leave on), it will switch automatically. This unit is also very compact. You can conceal it, since the infrared sensor is a separate unit.

Works great with PS3 and hd cable box/ dvr. With the remote its easy to hide because of the included remote extender nice product.

This little thing is amazing, it does exactly what it claims and the build quality is superb.
It auto switches but has a remote control to manual switch (works great with the harmony remotes) between devices.
Also it is powered passively (no plugs!) and I have noticed absolutely no loss in quality, the video/audio sync is spot on.

I can't think of a way to improve this device. HIGHLY recommended.
