The Belkin case feels good when closed and has a nice, snug fit. The top and bottom halves line up and the material is good quality. Small items such as a cable or stylus fit nicely in the Velcro pocket on the top.

Unfortunately, the fit is a little too snug and the iPad doesn't slide far enough to be centered within the case. This causes the headphone jack to mis-align with the hole in the case. The power button is also off-set slightly, but hasn't caused any issues. The volume control and rotation lock button are recessed quite a bit from the right edge of the case and a little harder to operate than necessary. The camera is off-center, but the case cut-out is wide enough so the camera is not blocked. When the case is open and folded in back, the pouch bulge makes holding a little awkward but manageable. There is a "catch" to hook the lid in to form either a low-profile keyboard stand or vertical stand. The "catch" is a little small and it doesn't always feel like the lid is securely in place. It should have been a little bigger or deeper.

The biggest issue is that the ambient light sensor above the camera is completely covered. This means the iPad always thinks it is dark. If you have auto brightness set, the screen is always dim. VERY annoying and the only way to fix this is to cut an additional notch into the case above the camera.

The materials have a good quality feel to them. The construction quality is so-so. Stitching is straight, but there are "burrs" of extra thread sticking out in several places. I don't know if the poor fit is a result of design or manufacturing error. The covered light sensor is definitely a design error.

Just got this and am quite happy! Perfect cutouts for power button, locking switch, cable input, headphone jack, volume toggle, and camera mean I'm unlikely to ever need to take my IPad 2 out of its cover again. Cover and front pocket seem sturdy. Just realized that the tab on the back cover will hold the edge of the front in place, once folded back, so that it can be opened completely even while using the rear camera! Only possible drawback I see is that the front pocket is a little small but that's a minor point. Overall, I'm very pleased and feel confident that I got the best IPad cover available.

***December 2012 update***
It's holding up great after a year and a half of steady use. If you like a folio case and don't need a bluetooth keyboard, this is still the one I would recommend to a friend or give as a gift.***

I looked for awhile to find an iPad case that would suit my needs. I had my eye on this one for awhile because of the pocket and tweed-ish fabric and I'm glad that I bought it! The stand functionality is very sturdy at the typing level, but can be a little bit wobbly when I set it up to watch a show. I don't watch videos too much so that doesn't bother me, but it might be an issue if that's one of the main things you use your iPad for. I also really like the pocket and can fit my (fairly chunky) stylus, charger, and cord in it. I read some reviews that mentioned some craftsmanship issues or loose strings, but I haven't noticed any of those kinds of problems. Mine is very well made and looks stylish!

I have had this cover for about 6 months now and am looking to replace it. I love the pocket and use it to carry a stylus and business cards at work, but the case has worn down over time. It now longer fits snugly, so the buttons don't line up. The stand is not as stiff as it was and doesn't always stay in standing position. One major benefit was that i dropped it on brick and my ipad2 only had a dented corner and small scratch so it seemed to protect it reasonably well

I love this case because it looks elegant and has a front pocket I can put my stylus and pencil in. It holds the iPad at a nice viewing angle as well. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because it lacks a closure. I feel it should be closed with some well places magnets or even an elastic band similar to some on paper notebooks. Other than that I really do like the way it looks and it holds my iPad 2 very securely. And the front pocket is really convenient.

After a lot of shopping I finally got this case because I liked the look and style of it. When I got it I was pleasantly surprised because I thought it would be way bigger. It's nice and thin but very sturdy so if I drop my iPad 2 I know it has some protection. Also I find it easy to put the iPad in and take it out. The alignment is off by about 1mm every now and then but that never bothers the functionality of it. My buttons are always accessible as well as my ports.

The pocket in the front is really flat but you can also add a lot which is great for someone like me who uses the iPad as my organizer. If I just want to carry my organizer and my wallet and iphone 4, they all fit!

It's an awesome case and really looks great. Worth the price.

I purchased this folio stand because of the pocket. I was hoping for a pocket that I could stick brochures in (or pieces of paper) like a regular legal pad folio. This pocket is NOT for that. The pocket DOES work for a bundle of business cards, a mini chamois to wipe the screen with, and earphones. You could probably squeeze in a power cable, but that might be pushing it.

It holds the iPad solidly in place, and button access is very good.

The "stand" feature has two levels. The lower level works great. It gives you a slight incline for typing, or even just for viewing if your hands are full. The higher level - presumably for a presentation - works, but seems a little unstable. I don't use it.
