Belkin Acrylic and Brushed Metal Case for iPod 5G, 5.5G (Pink)

I purchased this last week and it fits really great. I have read reviews on other cases where you end up scratching your iPod by just inserting it into the case. With this case the iPod slides right in and the front cover slides in on top of it. The pink looks great with my black iPod. I also like that it covers the click wheel and screen. There is plenty of room to get to any buttons and ports without ever taking it out of the case. I am very pleased with this case.

I just bought this case, and it's terrific. First of all, it looks great. It it similar to having a colorful iPod--the fit is good enough that it doesn't really look like a case. Second, so far it seems like it protects my iPod very well. (I sat on it by accident on the couch and it was fine!) It covers the screen and the wheel, but doesn't seem to affect the use of the center button and wheel.

This is an excellent, beautiful case. It comes with a clear backing that you gently pop the iPod into (there are seperate backings for the 30 and 80 gig iPods to ensure a perfect fit) and the face snaps on and is suspended slightly above the iPod so as to not damage the front. There are holes for the dock connector, hold switch, and headphone port that are all easily accessible. Although its not clear in the picture, the screen is covered with hard plastic and the wheel is covered by a thin plastic film which is essentially invisible. The case has a good feel to it and adds just enough bulk to the iPod so that it feels protected, but not smothered in a bulky case. The color of the brushed metal is stunning, and earned many "oohs" and "aahs" from the friends I showed it to. I've had several iPod cases in the past ranging from leather ones to rubber "skins" to hard plastic, and this is by far the best of any. A good buy!

I wanted a case for my iPod that would protect it but that wasn't bulky, sticky, or tacky. This one is perfect! It doesn't look like a case. It makes my black iPod look like a pink iPod. It also allows me to keep my iPod in my purse without worrying about it being scratched or damaged. All the buttons are fully accessable and the whole iPod is proteced (the screen and wheel included!). This is the perfect case. I'm so glad I bought it.

I've gotten lots of compliments on this case. It has a snug fit for my iPod 5G 80gb. The acrylic backing is quite thick but it still docks into the base that came with my HTiB by Panasonic. I can still use my Monster iCarPlay Wireless FM Transmitter although the plug cannot fully insert due to the thickness of the acrylic casing & snug opening. Easy to access the Hold switch & earphone jack. Love the fact that I didn't have to fuss with a squeegee screen protector or a bunch of stickers to protect the click wheel.

I was wondering about this case, I bought it because of all the great reviews on it. Well, I am not at all disappointed! The case fits so snugly that there is no way the scratch prone Ipod can move around at all. That is the key to protecting your investment.

I love the fact that even the clickwheel is covered. I was worried it may be too thick to work properly, but I actually think it works better than without it on.

My one concern is if the clear plastic on the screen will be scratchproof. I think I already managed to get a slight scratch on it. You can't see it when the ipod is on, but for someone who likes to keep things looking like new I won't be throwing this case in the bottom of my purse with my keys anytime soon.

Also, the best part is that I am still able to fit the ipod in the Belkin case into my iarmbands workout case. Certainly a huge plus!

i ordered mine based on the three reviews below and i wasn't expecting that much. but i got mine and it's sooooooo pretty!!! it's not like cheap pink but it's very very cute pink color and all my friends and i "oohed and aahed" when I put the case on my ipod. it's really pretty and protects the ipod well! i LOVE it!!!

I love this case! I've tried a handful of others, but this one seems to be the winner. I only wish I'd had this one from the beginning - probably would have spared my iPod the light scratches it acquired while using other cases.

I think the key here is that the front panel of the case is just that - one piece. There's a hard plastic screen protector built in and a thin layer of flexible plastic to cover the wheel/button (that in no way hinders use) - no moving pieces that can slide around and cause scratching like with other types of cases. And there are openings for everything you'd need to get to - the headphone jack, USB slot and the switch to lock it. You get two different back pieces - one to fit the 30GB model and one for the 60GB - to ensure proper fit.

And, important stuff aside? It just LOOKS good. It adds very little bulk (it still fits into my dock without removing the case) and gives my iPod the appearance of being a pink iPod with a black wheel/button - pretty neat looking! And with the back being clear acrylic, you can actually see the iPod's trademark mirror-like back panel and logo.

I'd definitely recommend this case. If pink's not your color, search around - there are other options (clear, black, silver, red, blue, green, possibly others?). I have no complaints with this one so far.

I bought this case to replace an old, junky case that I had bought last year.. This case is adorable, pink and very clean looking..

After trying several different cases, including armband cases, easel cases, etc., and subsequently leaving scratches on the back of my iPod, I was pleasantly surprised by this one.

My new 80GB black iPod fits perfectly in the case, and the black looks great with the brushed pink metal. I love the plastic cover over the click wheel; the easel case I had left one long scratch when I tried to remove it once, and it's nice to have the wheel actually covered.

The only downfall is that I can't seem to get my iTrip to work with the case on. I've found this with all of my cases, so I'm not too surprised. The fit just isn't snug enough to get a good connection.

Other than that, however, I highly recommend this case. It's fantastic! :)
