Reason one: I only had this case for a week when the sleep/wake function magnets quit working.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I got this case to replace an earlier case I'd gotten way back when there were very few cases available for the iPad 2.
Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:
- Nice-looking, traditional design using a mix of smooth and pebbled leather and put together with very good stitching.
- Holds the iPad very securely.
- Has five different angle settings, plus an additional low angle (best for typing) if you flip the cover backwards. However, the interior lining of the case has a texture that makes it possible to rest the case at virtually any angle. My old case had two angle slots, period. I much prefer having the extra angle settings.
- The lining also keeps the iPad steady if you are resting it open on an angled surface.

Cons:
- The on/off button is difficult to get at and push due to the placement of the corner support tab closest to it, but you do get used to it.
- It is noticeably heavier than the my old fake leather case.
- It only allows for landscape orientation.
- The lowest angle that is best for typing has a bit of give, allowing for a slight bounce if you type with a heavy hand.
- The added bulk of the "hinge" makes it a little awkward to hold while reading. I use my iPad for reading quite a bit, and my old case was much better for that.

Conclusion: it's a handsome looking case, and the more I use it, the more I like it. I wish it was lighter weight, but the fact is that leather is heavier than most faux leather.

Unfortunately this case has a huge design flaw. You can see it in action in the video. This probably could have been solved by them making the spine hard. Product returned, I'll keep looking!

I read through many of the reviews, and I think the first thing you need to ask yourself is how do you want the case to function. I wanted a case to protect the iPad in the house and office, look nice, be easy, comfortable and soft to hold in my hands, stand on its own in landscape mode, give the iPad an opportunity to dissipate heat, and a functional on/off magnet.
If you want a case to stand on its own in both landscape and portrait mode, buy the Targus Versavu with functioning magnet. But it is bulkier and heavier.
If you want to case to protect you iPad no matter what, get an Otterbox.
If you want extra protection in a messenger bag or backpack, get an inexpensive Netbook neoprene case: it works well for me.
If you want to be absolutely sure the iPad will not turn on/off when traveling, just power it off.
This case does what I want it to do, is heavy enough to protect the iPad, has nice bumpers on the side to both protect and allow you to feel the sides of the iPad and presumable allow the iPad to dissipate heat. It works well in landscape mode, and flips around for typing. Since I generally use a BT keyboard to type emails, a little movement in the case isn't a problem for me.
It is easier to reach all of the buttons, and no problem with the camera adapter.
The case closes with a magnetic latch. You have to have the lid in just the right spot for the on/off function to work, and when you do you hear a click. The soft leather flap easily tucks out of the way and doesn't get in the way when not in use.
The hinged part of the case is two layers: leather and lining. I think it is sturdy enough, and does not seem flimsy as stated in one video review.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I love this Belkin Cinema Leather Folio with stand. It fits my iPad2 perfectly and allows me to adjust to just the right angle when reading or even writing. I don't watch videos on my iPad but am sure they are easier to watch with this. The leather is nice and the magnetic parts are all well made. It is easy to use and keeps my iPad safe as I am forever storing it in a bag or somewhere it could be scratched. My only complaint is that, of course, it adds a little weight to my iPad but the overall value and use balances that out. I can even keep my flexible color cover I ordered from Apple on it at the same time it is in the folio if I want extra coverage but it isn't really needed. I do not have to remove the iPad to video chat or take pictures. Very pleased!

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I recently upgraded to the "new" iPad and needed a case to protect it. I chose a different one initially, but didn't feel that it was giving any substantial protection to my new toy.

I received two Belkin folios through the Vine program and used them on a daily basis for at least a week each.

The Cinema Folio has a fairly unique cover that actually folds in the middle of the back as well as the usual spot. This allows the user to set up their iPad at a variety of angles for viewing. The cover also makes it a bit tricky to hold when kicked back in a chair for reading. The cover wants to unfold in the usual spot as well as the middle. I found it fairly annoying after a while. The folio also has a magnetized flap to hold the folio closed. The flaps seems to work well enough, but gets in my way when I'm trying to read.

Even though there's not a dedicated place for holding a stylus, I found that my Wacom Bamboo stylus clips quite nicely on the upper left edge of the case. My original cover didn't have room and it's very convenient to be able to have it with me all the time

Where this folio really shines is holding the iPad at a convenient angle for video viewing. I was able to set it to a variety of angles and it felt very stable in each.

The workmanship seemed to be good. I didn't notice any flaws in the finish and it fit the iPad quite well. One nit is that the corners at the top and bottom right corners lift away from the iPad. It's more annoying than anything, but it takes away from the overall aesthetics of the case.

It's a bit tricky to clip the iPad into place, but it does a great job of security it once its there. I've carried the whole thing by the front cover and wasn't worried about it falling. Much better than Apples official cover.

Overall, I think the Cinema folio is great for people who watch a lot of video and want something that's very stable and attractive.
