I've got an HP Pavilion Laptop that for a good 6-7 months, has started overheating and shutting down unexpectedly! As time went on, the problem actually got worse, shutting down without notice literally several times a day! I went through many troubleshooting steps to address this problem. Then finally came across this product to try out.

SIMPLE, AFFORDABLE, NICE DESIGN! And... after a month of using it, my laptop has NOT overheated or shut down unexpectedly anymore.

This was an easy affordable product solution to a big problem I know many people have with their laptops overheating. Even if you're not experiencing random shut downs like I was, overheating can potentially cause more damage to your laptop too.

This product worked fine for about 3 days, then after bringing it home from work and setting it up it wouldn't turn on. After taking it apart and making sure the fan was plugged into the usb cord, I noticed one of the fan blades was out of place. I attempted to move it back in and it snapped off. Ever since then whenever I set my laptop on it, it makes a very annoying sound of the blades hitting something in the case of the pad. I wouldn't recommend this product for anyone with a laptop over 15 inches.

This keeps my medium sized (13.5 inch) laptop nice and cool. The top remains a little warm but it seems to cool the batter and the extra lift off my lap is appreciated. No complaints so far after a few months use. Also it's not too loud and distracting which is nice, my desktop is so loud and I was afraid I'd pick a bad laptop cooling pad that would be distracting like my roommates. I recommend!

It started off as needing a cooler for a laptop. Read so many reviews from other products and saw this one. It had good reviews, so I bought it. Not worth it. The fan makes an annoying low pitch moaning noise. Also, it's not ideal for someone who has pets; especially if they shed a lot. Hair gets stuck in the fans and it is impossible to clean it (that I know of, at least). My laptop keeps slipping off the cooling pad and I have to constantly readjust it. Never use this on a soft surface. The cooling pad sinks so low the fan gets blocked. This is also not an ideal cooling pad for larger laptops. The cooling pad is only 15"

I've tried everything else, decided to try the cooling pad. So far so good. It's a shame taptop makers can't solve the problem themselves. But, then, they have an interest in your laptop only lasting a couple years......

It works pretty well, and it works quietly. I love how easy it is to put away. It does take longer for it to cool down my laptop than my other cooling pads, but that may be because my laptop is fairly wide.

Noisier than I expected and doesn't cool as well I as hoped. Will probably keep looking for something better.

This product is good, but has a few areas for improvement.

1) Fan noise - there is a good deal of fan noise, can be distracting

2) Loose clothing can get caught in the fan - not much of a "cage" over the bottom of the fan

3) The top surface needs either more rubber to prevent laptop slippage, or a "tackier" type of rubber

The size is good for my 13" Macbook. Not too heavy. It is convenient to use and works well to cool the Macbook.

Even with the three items above, I would recommend this product
