This exciting new standard was developed to support high-speed, bi-directional communication between computers and parallel printers. Cable assemblies complying with the new specifications must be manufactured with special low- capacitance, impedance-matched, twisted pair, double- shielded cable. The wiring of the cable assembly has also been modified and a new connector type, 36-position micro centronics, has been developed as part of the specification. this a very good quality cable. It works good especially on the printers. Goes fast but if you have a USB port i will take the USB cable because is better product and more fast, it also cost less than this one.
