This review is from: Belkin F2E9142-WHT Pro Series ADC to DVI Apple Monitor Adapter (Personal Computers)
No great mystery here. You have an ADC port on your Mac, and you have a DVI input monitor, then this is what you need. In my case, a PowerMac G5 with ATI Radeon 9600 (oem) video card and an LCD monitor with DVI input. I plugged this adapter into my PowerMac's ADC port and into a DVI monitor cable (that came with my monitor, hoooked it to my LCD monitor, and *poof* instant connection. No fuss, no muss. (Note: I already had another DVI monitor plugged into the DVI connection of my ATI video card, which is why I needed this adapter for a second monitor.)

I just bought two 22 Inch widescreen displays for my Dual G5 Mac tower. The video card it came with was a dual head (one DVI and one Apple Display Connector (ADC). This cable allowed me to connected the proprietary Apple port to a standard DVI port and get video out of the ADC to the display. Beautiful results.

This connector is incorrectly described,

This review is from: Belkin F2E9142-WHT Pro Series ADC to DVI Apple Monitor Adapter (Personal Computers)
The Belkin F2E9142 will not adapt the apple studio panel sceen that I own. My screen is terminated in a flying lead with a male ADC connector. This connector plugs into my Apple G4 Cube processor. The Belkin product will not mate with my screen because both components terminate in male connectors. The Belkin product is incorrectly described because it doesn't allow connection of an ADC screen to a DVI based processor. What it will do is allow an Apple cube to be connected with an up-to date DVI screen.
To use an Apple Studio ADC terminated screen one needs an apple adaptor costing $350. The item is costly because the studio screen does not contain a power supply and draws its power from the Cube to operate the screen itself and to power the 2x USB sockets at the rear of the screen. Any one wishing to update the Cube for an Apple Mini would do better to buy an iMac which comes complete with the latest screen technology and the Duo intel core processors with Snow leopard SW
