Low quality, low cost cable,

This is a cheap cable in both cost and quality. When connected between my Voodoo3 3000 card and my Mag Innovision DX17F monitor, the picture quality was poor, with severe "ghosting" of the screen. This cable does not have the cylinders on each end as most monitor cables do. I assume the lack of these cylinders is what causes the degradation in signal quality.

Very cheap cable,

I wouldn't say this is cheap in price considering the quality. It should have been $1.99. Severe ghosting on a Gateway VX1120 through a LinkSys PS2KVM4 switch running two DELLS, and two GATEWAYS with two machines running SUSE LINUX. Horrible reception for every single machine. What a waste of money.

Worst VGA cable I've ever used,

This review is from: Belkin F2N028-06 VGA Monitor Replacement Cable (Personal Computers)
I used this cable to connect my ThinkPad T60p to an NEC MultiSync LCD2070NX at 1600x1200 resolution. The picture looked terrible - it was full of ghost images trailing off to the right. It was so bad that the MultiSync's Auto Adjust feature would not correctly size the image to fit the screen. It consistently made the picture too narrow by an inch or two. Apparently the monitor "saw" the ghost images on the right and thought they were supposed to be part of the image, so it shrank the width to allow room for them. With any decent cable, the T60p puts a nice clear picture on the LCD2070NX, and the Auto Adjust works perfectly. If I'd read the reviews here I never would have bought this cable, but I was in a local store and needed a spare cable. Next time I'll look up the Amazon reviews on my cellphone!

I just got a new 25.5 inch Samsung T260 monitor (its an awesome monitor!) and used this cable to hook it up to my Alienware... and it has to be the worst cable produced or something, because the ghosting caused by its low quality is unbearable. Get ANY other cable ever made and it will be better than this one. Horrible Product. I would rate this as a 0 star if I could. Even the radioshaq generic cable was better than this one.

How bad can it be?,

I purchased one of these at Staples when the red and green stopped showing with my current monitor cable at a LAN party and needed one ASAP. I was using a 15" LCD at 1024x768 and it could not display that low resolution without awful ghosting. I was a bit hesitent to purchase it becouse it looked flimsy compared to most monitor cables, but there were not any others available at the store. Needless to say I was very disappointed.

I got this cable to use with a VGA switch. This cable creates terrible ghosting. Sure, it's cheap but you get what you paid for. I suggest paying a few bucks more and getting a better cable.

Don't buy. Lots of ghosting, missing ferrite cores at the cable ends.,

I didn't realize it was a problem with this cable until I switched to another one with the ferrite cores at the ends. I had been using this for a few months. It was a world of difference. This cable caused lots of signal interference and the picture was really bad - severly ghosted and fuzzy. Even the LCD monitor's auto adjust functionality went out of whack because of this cable. I have since stopped using the cable and have started using another one as described above. I paid 15 bucks for this at a local store which is daylight robbery. This company should stop selling cables they either don't know how to engineer it or they are deliberately trying to rip off from people who aren't tech savvy. I think its the latter.

I had the same results as everyone else--tons of ghosting. I couldn't even look at my monitor for more than a minute or two before my head felt like it'd explode. Go with any other brand than this.

I wanted a cheap VGA cord that I can use for when I bring my work laptop home so I can hook up my monitor and have a dual display. When I plugged it in, the resolution was off pretty badly at first. So I switched this monitor cable with the ones my parents had for their computer....assuming they would enjoy the larger resolution since they are...well....older :-)A few days ago I was using their PC and I re-adjusted the resolution up a little so it looks much better. Maybe it just takes a few days to get the settings right? Though you get what you pay for. It does the job. |
