Adding six FireWire ports to your computer couldnÕt be easier. The Belkin 6-Port FireWire Hub stands vertically on your desktop, conserving precious desktop space as it saves you from reaching behind your computer for ports. Simply plug your high-speed, Zip, optical, or disk drive, scanner, printer, and other peripherals into the five rear Hub ports; a sixth port is conveniently located up front for easy access for your digital camera or other portable peripherals. The unit stands alone or docks with additional Hubs, making it easy to put all your multimedia gear on the ultrafast FireWire track. FireWire technology supports up to 63 devices on one computer with Plug-and-Play ease.
The Belkin 6-Port FireWire HubÕs sculpted, breakthrough design is aesthetically pleasing as it is functional. Intrinsic cable management flows your cables from the Hub in single file arc, reducing desktop clutter.

Looks good, poor function,

This review is from: Belkin F5U526-SLV FireWire 6 port Hub, Graphite (Personal Computers)
The nice shape comes at the expense of good design. The vertical stand isn't up to holding the weight of installed cables and it easily pops out of place. The cosmetic shield gets in the way of seeing your cables and the curved connector surface makes access to cables fussy.
I'm finding the unit I've been using for many months to be unreliable with hard drives and other fast devices. These work fine when connected directly to a 1304 port. I'm looking for a replacement.

It Works!,
This review is from: Belkin F5U526-SLV FireWire 6 port Hub, Graphite (Personal Computers)
The Belkin FireWire 6-port Hub works. My Classic iPod Charger/Sync works fine with it as well as some other peripherals.
The stand does not stay attached and the cover encloses the connections and keeps them clean, but the ports are hard to get to when one wants to add or remove FireWire cables.
