Great standard computer kit,

Perfectly good basic computer tool kit. I've been using a Belkin tool kit just like this one for years, then bought a no-name brand one for my girlfriend, only to have one of the screwdrivers break from normal use after like a week of owning it. Then I bought her one of these, and it's worked very well.
Highly recommended. If you're thinking of saving money on a kit that's just a few dollars cheaper, you're much better off paying for the higher quality you'll find in this kit.

too big for laptop screws,

these tools are not exactly precision tools considering they're way too big for computer screws, at least Apple laptop ones. I tried taking apart my macbok pro with these guys but they just don't match the screw sizes. I returned the product, bought the appropriate tools at Osh and the problem was solved. They might work for desktop computer and other larger electronics...

The tools look alot larger in the picture than they really are. The vinyl case the encompasses them is about the same size as one of my hand spreaded open; it's about the same size as a small chapter book. I use the Belkin 10-piece computer tool kit to build computers out of composite parts available for purchase. The only tool I have actually used (and need) is the #1 Phillips-Head Screwdriver. It's the only tool I've needed so far for working with my chassis.
Pros: Has everything I need to open/insert computer components, cheap price, and they are easy to use due to the handles. Cons: Could have included the Belkin Anti-Static Wrist Band with Adjustable Grounding, or at least have a proper storage space for one, which I also bought along with this. There's enough space to store my Belkin anti-static wrist band inside the storage case, but there just isn't a proper space for it to be stored neatly. No need to buy those expensive professional computer tool kits because this is all you will ever need for exchanging parts for your computer unless you decide to tweak your computer components into different shapes for whatever purposes. *Note: I ordered this Belkin 11-piece computer tool kit, but received the 10 piece Tool Kit instead from [...]. Both tool kits are Mfr. Part #: F8E060, and I believe the 10 piece tool kit is the updated version of the 11-piece tool kit. They both practically have the same tools (other than the demagnetization labeled for the 11-piece tool kit). The 10 piece tool kit is actually also an 11-piece tool kit because it just decided to omit counting the vinyl case, which it also comes with. I prefer the black handles of the 10-piece tool kit over the orange handles of the 11-piece tool kit, so I am not complaining about the 10-piece tool kit I received instead.

I just purchased a new laptop and wanted to upgrade it myself. Usually when I work on my desktop or other peoples computers I just "borrow" tools from around my house.
I decided I needed something a bit better, and stumbled across this kit. It came in a nice case, with pretty much everything you need for any type of computer repair. I literally broke down my whole laptop (Dell Studio 17) and installed a second HDD, cloned and replaced my main HDD, installed a Bluetooth module, upgraded from 2gb ram to 4gb, and also added keyboard back lighting. This Belkin tool kit included everything I needed and more to complete this "upgrade" with ease. The tools feel good in your hand (especially for the price) and with a lifetime warranty you cant go wrong. The only other item I had to purchase was an antistatic wrist band. I'm very happy with this purchase, and enjoy the size of the kit, it fits perfectly in my laptop backpack, and keeps everything in one place!

I doubt I'll ever use all the tools even in this small kit, but the ones I have used perform very well. When you need a tool for fiddling with your computer, it's nice not to have to worry about 'where it's been.'

This is a nice little tool set. It may be just a tad bit pricey for the quality of tools, but it's great to have handy. I keep it in my office because I frequently have to take computers apart. This tool set has everything I would need and more. But basically I just use the Phillips screwdriver all the time.
As seen in the pic, you get 2 Phillips drivers of different sizes, 2 flat head, 2 hex head (great for tightening the hex nuts on a VGA or DVI port etc.), a chip remover (never will use this one), a torx driver, tweezers and cool little grabbers for screws lost in tight spots. As I said earlier, the quality is not something that would warrant use of this tool set beyond typical in a computer environment. They certainly would stand to up to even normal use with a carpenter or mechanic or anything like that. There's no doubt this was made in China for less than a dollar. But if you're looking for a compact tool set to keep handy, consider this one.

ive used everything and all tools are useful. they are a bit 'cheap' but thats exactly what i paid for the kit! handles feel like they will break if i applied to much force but theyre for working on comps so no need for the kind of force that would break them. if youre working on cars or appliances get something else but this kit is great for electronics.
a flashlight (and anti-static wrist strap) would round out the kit nicely but if you have a small mag-lite type put it with the kit and youll be all set.

Just what I needed. A small screwdriver set to keep handy. This is a great kit for what it's for. This is a 10 piece tool kit, NOT a 11 piece. I had and lost my 11 piece. The only thing missing here is the parts tube to store screws and other things as such. This tool kit has a lifetime warranty. I am very pleased with this kit and the price. You will also need a anti-static wristband belkin and amazon has you covered.

Good Kit,,

This review is from: Belkin F8E060 10-Piece Computer Tool Kit (Personal Computers)
Just bought this kit recently to put my new gaming pc together. It's a pretty nice kit to have. The two phillips screwdrivers are useful, although they could be higher quality. When really torquing the screws into the plastic on my fans the screwdrivers got stripped out a little (the screw was stronger than the screwdriver). They are good sizes though and for anything that doesn't give a ton of resistance (I ended up using my cordless drill for those fan screws, so they weren't easy to screw in) they work well.
Most of the other tools won't be used much if ever, but one tool really stood out. The screw picker-upper thingy was extremely useful. I was able to get into hard to reach areas and start the screws in the motherboard holes with only one hand, which was very, very handy. It would've taken me at least another half an hour to screw in the motherboard without this tool. The main downside is that I think it should have come with the anti-static strap, and ditches some of the other less useful tools to keep the price the same. An anti-static strap is absolutely necessary and some of the other tools in the set are pretty useless, so I would've preferred one of those to come with the kit. All in all, I think this kit was a good buy.

This is an item I really like having. I own five computers and work on them myself whenever there's a problem or they need upgrading. This little kit keeps all the necessary tools in one place. The case is just big enough to also store my anti-static wrist band. Everything I need to work on my computers is in there. When I' don't need it the case is compact and easy to store. The price is reasonable too. I recommend it to anyone who works on computers.
