Awesome and saves money!,

This does everything just as it describes. Plus since you have to pay for XM Subscriptions by the receiver this allows you to avoid having to buy one for the car/home/portable. You can get it all from one. I bought the Roady XT here on Amazon about 6 months ago and the only time I used it was in the car during my commute to work, now I feel as if I am really getting my money's worth as I take it jogging or to workout as well. Great product well worth it.

Back when this product was first released it was $100. I purchased 2 of these over 2 years ago one for myself and one for my dad for less than $10 apiece. My dad loves Reds baseball games and this is perfect to listen to the sports channels at the ballpark while watching the game. My dad has commented on the short life of the battery but it does live up to the quoted 4-5 hours so he can't complain too much. Overall at any price below $50 I would completely recommend this product if you use the XM Xpress radio. This product makes it easy to keep your radio with you everywhere you go and helps to get the most out of your monthly subscription.

XM radio to go!,

This review is from: Belkin F8E724 XM Roady XT/XPRSS Battery Kit (Electronics)
The Belkin XM Mobility Kit for the Xpress and Roady is recommended to anyone who wants XM radio on the go. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the battery needs to be charged every 3 to 4 hours rather than the 4 to 5 hours as advertised.

I have the Roady xt. I have had mine a few days now and like it. Actually I now have two as I bought a second for the extra battery and parts also in case of future damage, (I am hard on electronics gear). The extra battery will allow me continuous use if needed as one can charge while one is used. Here are the review points. #1)-- I get about 4 hours on the battery. Recharge takes under 3 hours. #2--The headphone antenna. It works good. I hike under medium tree canopy and it works about the same as the standard automobile antenna with some cutting out under heavy canopy but still ok in general. In the clear it works fine. #3--The volume. The volume is loud. Someone said it had low volume. Not true. There are 2 steps to control volume. First in the menu scroll to volume and there are 5 levels available. 5 is the highest and I use 1. The second step is the slider control on the headphone wire. You must have the phone side marked L on the left as the headphone volume goes to very low if reversed. This is because of the unusual design of the earpieces.
So that's it. Extra batteries are available for about 10$ plus shipping if you goggle up a store. I cannot comment on the longevity of the batteries as I have only cycled them 3 times. One thing I don't like is the design of the belt clip. It is easy to drop it when putting it on or taking it off your belt ( no good finger hold) and I have twice turned it on taking it off as I tend to grab the face of the reciever when taking it off. The buttons are easy to activate so you need to look at the dial and see if you are storing it while it is on.------UPDATE July,2011--Now that the trees have lots of leaves I cannot get a signal, when in the woods, that is steady at all. It is useless under heavy cover or if a high, heavily leaved tree is between you and the satellite ( to the south I think). I will keep my subscription to xm because in the car, on the road it is ok and I use it mostly in the car.

Nice but poor volume level,

Good reception but the volume level is very low. No way to increase it. I'm disappointed in its performance. Hopefully, the manufacturer can correct it.

This is a great idea to expand on the capabilities of this home/car satellite radio. The battery charges pretty quick, and the headphone antenna works awesome! With the battery and the belt clip the unit ends up being a little bulky, but you can always store everything in a hip/waist pack then it is more comfortable. The volume is controlled by the output signal strength on the satellite radio and a resistor type control in the headphone cable; a little ackward, but it works good. The power button on the face of the unit is easily depressed therefore if you are not using the unit and are carrying it in your bag, I would keep the battery cable unplugged. The headphones are a little bulky (since they contain the antenna) but their sound quality is great. Overall, in my opinion, this is a great attachment. Enjoy, Henry

Belkin XPRSS Battery Kit : Headphones,

The portable battery works great however the headphones have a lot to be desired. Unable to hear the radio with the volume turned all the way up on the headphones. Any outside noises covers up the radio. I love my portable XM radio but wish I hadn't spent 100.00 bucks for the headphones. That cost more than the protable XM unit!!!!

This will be a great addition for listening pleasure if you are at the beach or in open areas. Since it requires the ability to get satelite reception- if you are under tree cover or inside a structure, reception will be spotty. Pops in and out of case great and works as advertised.

We couldn't get this battery pack to work properly but when we went to send it back to get a refund, there was no way to figure out how to do that. Will not buy from this place again.
