I used to hate to have to take my laptop out of a sleeve or laptop case, put it on something on my lap when I used it, and then put it back in the case to store it. Using this case, I just put the case on top of my lap, unzip the two sides (simultaneously; one zipper per hand) and then open my laptop which also opens the top of the case. The case if very lightweight. If any complaint, it is that I would like the outside of the case to be padded a bit, to make it softer on my lap.

I have a 15" widscreen, and it fits with plenty of room to spare.

I absolutely love this case. It makes traveling around the house with my laptop so much safer with 2 pre-schoolers around. In fact, I am using it right now as I sit in my living room. When I am ready to take the laptop back to the den for charging, I will simply close both computer and case at the same time, grab it by the handles (I don't bother to zip up for short trips) and transport. This case is quite rigid, and plenty big enough for my 15.6 inch widescreen. My only wish is for a pocket on the outside that would hold my mouse and pad. I know Belkin makes a similar case with a pocket, but it's not big enough for my mouse pad, and I didn't like the handle. At this price (15 buckeroos) it is quite a deal!

I checked out all the reviews before I bought this and am glad that I did. I just bought my first laptop and hated to leave it lying around the house. I was looking more for something to protect it when I wasn't using it, but find that works great as a lap desk. It keeps my legs from getting over heated and gives more surface for the laptop to set on, so I am not trying to balance it on my lap or work off the coffee table where I have to hunch over to type and look at the screen. Definitely worth the cost. My only dislike is that the top does not close, but it isn't anything that will stop me from using it.

I use my Belkin Sleevetop Case to carry my acer NETBOOK, my COOLING STAND, and my mousetrap/mouse/mousepad everywhere!

This excellent product allowed me to grab my old warhorse Dell D600 and all of the cords and the MICROSOFT 3000 cordless mouse and JUST GO when we left to visit family several times over the recent holidays. Since most of my family have their own home wi-fi networks and computers have become so integral to our inter-family tips and yarns, I believe that this product will serve me well for a few years so long as I don't needlessly abuse it.

HINT TO BELKIN: Yes, I can see where the zippers could be stouter; in careless hands they would probably become useless quickly because they are not heavier.

I got this product and it was exactly as described. Belkin is a good brand. This product has a nice price and it really fits a 15" laptop. I also use it to bring my smaller laptop as well as some documents. However this product is not for tough environment. I only use it when I can make sure it will not get wet or dirty. It'd be much nicer if the outside cover is leather, but for this price we cannot get that. Overall this is a nice and good product. Highly recommended.

Originally I was looking for a small table or tray to keep my laptop (PC) from burning my legs while computing, and I remembered Belkin had a cool little table for that a few years back. After googeling a while I found this beautiful object designed by Swissmiss (the designer). It's cool, pactical and now I carry it around everywhere. The only inconvenience? Everybody who sees it wants one!
