This is a nice concept case with a major flaw. The straps to keep the lid from folding back can damage the hinge on your laptop if you don't close it properly because it will get caught between the top and the lower part of your laptop.

I was happy to get the case right away but it's been nothing but headache. First it caused an issue with the hinge of my laptop and then the strap on the right started peeling my invisible shield! Another thing to report is that this new item was shipped with noticeable discoloration in spots indicating it is an used item but they are selling it as new. As if that wasn't enough with the case closed and zipped, the laptop slides around so buyer beware.

It appears the seller doesn't let you return the defective item. When you try to submit return request, the website errors out stating the quantity is incorrect. that is very interesting considering the only option you have is the reason for the return, not the quantity!

Stay away from this vendor/this item.

I am a commuter who carries his laptop between the office and home most days in the rear seat of my car. This case was ideal. I used this case instead of the bulky, black travel case issued by my employer.

I'm a fan of Belkin products, and this one is no exception. While I've got a snazzy leather Targus laptop case for business/travel, this is my all-purpose, everyday case/lap desk. It's like the turtle shell for my laptop and I use it daily. Top pocket corrals cords and acts as a defacto handle. Fabric easy to clean. One suggestion for the 2.0 version: a more compact size. This is perfect for the average size laptop, but slightly big for my 13" MacBook. Not really a problem, but would be a nice option to offer.

Just returned from visiting family and this was one of the immediate things they noticed when i walked in the room. Everyone in the room either had laptops, phones, or ipod touch. My bro said this was so dumb to buy, but he doesnt understand investments of protecting what you purchase when items are portable. my excuse for the purchase was for my 5 yrs old nephew, but with the weight going below his knees this didnt help. He just picks my Macbook 15.4 pro up and transports it from one room to the next occasionally. He's very careful and I dont pressure him not to drop it, but i get a little nervous when he walks down the steps, but he knows i trust him. This is the best bang for your buck. I love the handle and was almost hesitant to buy b/c ppl complained of the zipper or wish the front pocket was closed. Neither are complaints of mine. The only small discrepancy would be charging my Mac Pro, b/c the charge is at the top left of the comp. and it slightly bends my cord, but i guess i could resolve this if i didnt use the little convenient slot in the back for plugging it up without having to completely remove the charger cord. I ordering one for 3 ppl, they just dont know it yet. I love the way it sits up and allows cooling b/c of a slight incline. Wish i would have spent the extra dough and purchased the brown, it got a little dirty from my christmas break.

so convenient and i like the fact that it's more of a hard shell case. since it has that little lip the laptop fits on, it keeps from overheating. really happy with it!

This is a really nice case, and it does a nice job of keeping the computer cool. This case is not for rugged transport of your laptop, but it's great for organizing it around the house or taking it to your favorite coffee shop for free wi-fi. You're crazy if you pay twice as much for one color over the other. As of 02JAN2008, the green case (this product) is $20 more than the silver on silver. The orange on silver is $47 at Best Buy.

I purchased this pockettop to use with my laptop primarily at home. I have the tendency to wander with my laptop and I felt I needed something to protect it. This does a good job for that. The bottom of the case has molded ridges that hold the laptop up to help with overheating. The pocket on the one side of the case is very handy for holding the battery pack, mouse, earphones, etc. while still keeping them accessible. The charger connection comes through the pocket and through a hole in the inside layer of the case to connect to the computer so when you unplug the charger from the wall, it can stay plugged into the computer and be handily stored in the pocket. (The pocket stays open all the time.) The only negative that I have found is that only the pocket side of the case has a handle so using this to carry your laptop around for any real distance would feel awkward. Also, be aware that it just barely fits a 15" laptop when it is zippered closed. You will not be able to store anything else inside of the case. You still have storage in the outside pocket. All in all a really smart and handy tool for laptops and I use mine daily.

I had high hopes for this product - it appeared to fit my laptop well, was quickly delivered... But the power connector for my laptop wouldn't remain connected when the case was closed as it stuck out too far(one of the selling features). And then the zips failed. By the time I used it on a flight I was reduced to using the zip fastener on it's own to hold one side closed, as the zip had become permanently untied together. And then it came off the tracks completely.
Basically, I would suggest not using this product.... And could the webpage at least use a proper picture for it, rather than a damaged one?! Maybe I should have taken the hint when I saw that...!
