Looks great but the problem is.... it makes my laptop heat up really fast. It blocks off the fan to get air in turn makes my computer very hot!

It has got so hot that it turned to the 'blue screen' because it over heated...

This item is a simple concept that works very well.

I was looking for something to support my laptop when I was using it in my bedroom. Most of the support items I found were for smaller laptops - 10" to 14". I had bought another support that had a fan in it, it cost a lot more than the Belkin CushTop, and it was too large and uncomfortable to support the computer on my legs.

I did several searches on the internet for a lap support, and none of the items I found seemed to be made for a 17" laptop. The CushTop stated that it could be used for up to a 17" laptop, so I decided to try it and ordered it From Amazon.com. I'm glad I did. If you look at the product picture, it shows a laptop on the CushTop on the smaller side (Side A) with the larger side (Side B) on the person's lap. Once I received the item, the directions clearly show that Side A is for laptops up to 15", and Side B is for laptops up to 17". It works really well. It provides a nice and stable platform, and the laptop does not slide around on it.

The CushTop itself stays cool (I just lifted my laptop off of it to double check), so your legs, or whatever else the CushTop is resting on, stays cool too.

With the opening in the middle, you can store a mouse, and the power cord for the laptop as well. The diagram that comes with the CushTop shows the cord threaded through the opening when in use, I guess to keep from catching on anything when you move the laptop around. I have followed this advice and it works great.

I would highly recommend this item to anyone, and if you have a 17" laptop, you should have no qualms about your laptop fitting - it will.

Pros: Comfortable and light.
Cons: Covers up laptop bottom vents so your fans will be on the whole time. Not good for your laptop.

Makes sitting in bed or at table very comfortable. Great item. Only issue is that I'm not quite sure how well this thing absorbs heat from the computer.

Got this for my wife for Valentines because she spends so much time at night on the computer working on her pictures. She loves it. It is very sturdy and does a nice job of supporting the computer. A nice gift for a nice price. I would recommend this for laptop users who spent a lot of time with their computer on their lap.

i love this it props my laptop perfectly!!! it helps it not overheat because the matieral is breathable and it keeps my back from hunching over look at the screen while im in my bed

I have owned this cush top stand for about a year now and love it. I will tell you up front however that I don't use it for a laptop. (I work with a laptop but prefer it off my lap). I have been an avid crossword puzzle fan for most of my life, and I enjoy sitting back and relaxing with a puzzle book on my lap using this cushion. Amazon and many online gift stores sell cushions, or more accurately, pillows specifically designed for puzzle buffs. The only problem with all of them is that they inevitably flatten over time and thus lose their shape and height. Every one of them I have ever owned. Even a home made one that a freind made for me that was big and thick and wedgie shaped eventually over time came to have a mind of its own and lose its shape. I came across this cush top model at a home show and immediately liked its wedge shape with the firmness that is as resistant to flattening as something soft and comfy on your lap can manage to be. Seeing its function is for lap tops and not really just relaxing with a puzzle book, it extra firmness and shape makes it the perfect solution for something it isn't even designed for. It's not just the perfect cushion for crosswords, but for reading a book or writing. Especially if your writing in a notebook, or doing a crossword in a binder as I do. Trust me when I tell you that if you are considering this cushion for something other than for a lap top stand, it is a far better alternative than a lap pillow. From the vast majority of reviews here this cushion performs its job excellently, is very well made and comfortable, and I can now add my recommendation for it as an alternative to lap pillows. For any such use, it is in my opinion a very worthwhile investment...

This cushion works for both my 17" Dell and my 15" Toshiba. I do need a laptop cooler with the Dell and it is sturdy enough to support both. There was no chemical smell associated with the item. My only suggestion is that they provide it in a wider variety of colors, but it isn't that important. Definitely does the job. I was afraid it might be too high, but I put my feet up on an ottoman and the level is just fine for me.

very well made,light nice angle. price was right also. center hole good for storage of power supply and mouse. now I can set in my recliner and not have my laptop heat up
