The CushTop which is part of the Belkin Laptop@Home laptop accessories and is designed to hold your laptop computer on you lap, couch, bed, or floor. It has a pocket that you can store your power adapter and mouse. The CushTop is designed to be used with either a 15 or 17 inch laptop depending on which side is flipped up. The product comes in three colors: orange, green, and silver.

I tested the orange CushTop with an Apple Mac Pro 15 inch laptop. I found it was a good size for a laptop and of good quality construction. It keeps your lap cool especially for the new Intel Core Dual microprocessor chips which can run hot. It gives you a little more height to make it more ergonomic to work on the laptop. It is small enough to pack in your suite case to travel.

I found the CushTop too slick for a Apple Mac Book Pro 15 inch laptop when placed on the 15 inch side. If I did not hold onto the laptop it would side off. I found this to be frustrating, but if I turned the CushTop over to the 17 inch side the sliding problem stopped. I did not test CushTop with any other laptops so sliding problem might not be a problem with other laptops from other manufactures.

This has only one negative in my opinion, cushioning. Just a little would be helpful. I appreciate the fact that it accomodates the larger 17" screen users. I've gone through several more expensive laptop stands, mats, etc. and this is by far the best. Your laptop will not slide off or burn your thighs. And it's angled properly for your wrists. Though the cover is not removable I just sprayed it with some fabric protector to prevent any stains. Finally, I wish that there were a greater variety in color choices.

The CushTop is just about awsome. It's comfortable, heat from the Laptop is taken to some other distant place, as if by MAGIC? The construction is solid, yet....Cushy?

The fabric is durable, and comfortable over a long period of time. The orange color is great, for low visibility...... If that's a problem in your particular situation. For me it was just a style choice. (it's an oddly artistic looking thing, no?)

The space inside the Cushtop is rather handy, great for stowing remotes, magazines, snacks and pens/pencils etc.

Our Laptop is of the 15.4" range, so this review is based on this particular range of use.

Overall, there was life before the CushTop, and now life with the CushTop...... and it's rather Cushy.

I desperately need a 'lap desk' for my macbook and unfortunately this product does not make the grade. It is pretty sturdy it seems, but for my macbook the Cushtop's smooth covering material and lack of a 'lip' mean that if it is held at even a slight angle, the laptop quickly slides forward. It is also a bit too high for comfort when working in my armchair. It seems ok if I am sitting completely upright, but I like to kick my feet up! I am sending this one back and will order an iLap. I've heard nothing but good things about those from other mac users.

This is a comfortable and good-looking lap desk for any laptop computer. No more overheated legs!

If you're looking for something to put your laptop on when working, surfing, writing or just plain dawdling with your computer in bed or in the couch, this is it. Forget anything else and buy it.

Very solid and comfortable to set on my lap and work or cruise the internet while watching TV. No problem with heat and venting.

Works well for larger laptops. Spot cleans easily, lightweight. I like the fact that I can loop the cord through the slot to keep it from getting tangled.

Bought for my wife who really wanted a "laptop stand" but uses it on her legs in the bed also, so I thought this would help with the heat and discomfort. It does. Good product in my opinion for the price. Now I need one that stands like a tray or table.

I love it. It was what I was looking for, namely, a confortable holder for my laptop. While I have my MacBook Pro protected by a Speck Products MB15-CLR-SEE-V2 15-Inch See Thru Hard Case for Macbook Pro (Clear) if I hold it to inclinated the computer slowly slides. But, it is easy to prevent this and I don't consider it a problem. The inner pocket just below the computer is very useful to hold a small external HD that I use to store my music. While it is true that if you use your computer for heavy duty stuff (in my case, compiling software or compressing video) the computer might turn on the fans this cushion protects you from the heat. I recommend it.
