5.0 out of 5 stars A dream of a laptop bag
This bag is great-looking and sturdily constructed - quality throughout in the fabric, stitching, zippers, velcro and padding. The design is more than thoughtful - it's more or less what I was dreaming of over the past year - enough, but not too many, pockets, etc., great padding for laptop, excellent strap design, and more - like a separate removable pouch for cords and...

1.0 out of 5 stars Looks nice but isn't worth it
I was actually very optimistic about this item when I received it, don't get me wrong, but the first thing I noticed was that it isn't able to hold very much. I only needed to carry a thin drawing pad and a couple of 1/2-inch binders, that was pretty much it besides some other papers I had to carry. Within the first week I used it one of the zipper sliders broke off, it...

This bag is great-looking and sturdily constructed - quality throughout in the fabric, stitching, zippers, velcro and padding. The design is more than thoughtful - it's more or less what I was dreaming of over the past year - enough, but not too many, pockets, etc., great padding for laptop, excellent strap design, and more - like a separate removable pouch for cords and cables. As slim as it is, it holds my 15" laptop plus: a camera, a backup drive, a card reader, a music player, and all their cables and power cords - plus I can add in a book or two, paper files, my sketch book, and a watercolor field set, with no squooshing, no bulging. Incredible design, is all I can say.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, December 5, 2010

I can carry a 13 inch macbook, my iPad in an Otterbox case, and a wireless mac keyboard with ease. I still have room for blank disks, a couple thin notebooks, and all my needed cables. It's wonderfully padded and feels great on my shoulder. I'll never use any other bag for my precious Mac's. I even gave one to a friend for X-Mass and she adores it for her macbook and iPad.!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you're considering all the bags on Amazon, choose this one!, September 7, 2011
This review is from: Belkin F8N050-DGL-DL 15-Inch Notebook Messenger bag (Dove/Light Blue) (Personal Computers)
I have never posted a review before, but I felt like this bag deserved one.

I spent a good deal of time scouring Amazon and searching for the right messenger bag for my 11-inch MacBook Air. I chose this one because it looked sturdy and relatively thin, and I haven't been disappointed. I've used it now for about 2 weeks, and I haven't noticed any wear or tear. I fill it pretty full and relatively heavy (like the weight of one textbook plus odds and ends), and nothing is fraying or breaking. It fits a lot of things for how thin it is, and I like that it has an extra pocket for the laptop charger and external hard drive. The laptop compartment seems to be pretty well padded, and the material has some sort of velvet-like feel- I don't worry about harming my expensive laptop, and I haven't found any problems yet. I love the nice, wide strap that the bag has, which comes in very handy with all the walking I have to do on campus; it doesn't become uncomfortable, and I can switch it around and wear it in front, to the side, or behind me. And I have yet to grow tired of the coloring- I really do enjoy the little pops of light blue, and the grey isn't as harsh as a black. It also doesn't look dirty; granted, it's only been a couple weeks, but I think the durability of the material is just fantastic.

For those who are searching everywhere (like I was), there are a few little cons to the bag, but they haven't been too detrimental for my purposes. First, there isn't a space to put a water bottle, but I just hook mine onto the strap and carry it around all day. If your water bottle doesn't have a hook/handle, that may be a problem unless you can fit it into the bag. And forget coffee, unless you hold that separately. Also, there isn't a lot of room for extra things. There are a lot of handy pockets to stuff things, but they add up and make the bag look very bulky. I also can probably fit more things than the average user, since my Mac is so incredibly thin, so I would keep that in mind if you plan on lugging around multiple textbooks at a time. I've noticed that I'll need to buy a lunchbox/bag because I can't fit in food (especially leftovers) unless they're little like a granola bar. For my uses, having the computer was my main priority, and this bag is almost perfect. Another small drawback was that though the front pocket is handy to stick things in (including my cell, iPod, et cetera), things get lost down at the bottom, especially if the inside of the bag is really full. Probably my biggest grievance is that though the bag is made of a heavy-duty material, it is soft and doesn't stand up on it's own. I have to prop it up against a table leg, which there's often not enough room for me to do in class, so it lays on its back most of the time; however, I would prefer the softness of the bag to one with hard edges.

I hope your search just became a little easier- good luck!

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome bag and fantastic price, July 7, 2011

feels great inside, super soft and snug fit to perfectly protect laptop. the bonus bag for cords is great. the shoulder strap design is cool looking and creative and comfortable. Color is perfect, easy to keep clean looking, and surface wipes down great. Good amount of pockets for a few extra items...not too much extra space but I think that is safer bc then you don't have a bunch of junk knocking around with your computer.

GREAT GREAT BAG!!!

This bag stores my computer safely and is very easy to use. I like the long strap on it that provides a comfortable way to carry my laptop. It is perfect if you have a bigger laptop like mine.

I liked it when i finally got it. i fell inlove with it when i started using it. its big enough for my needs, looks good, and seems sturdy to last me for a long time. it is waterproof so my laptop, camera and e-reader are protected.

just wondering about the person who made a review here claiming its not big enough...well, my advise to you is to get a big duffel bag to put all your stuff in. this is a messenger bag for laptops, not a bag to put your tv and fridge in...

I was actually very optimistic about this item when I received it, don't get me wrong, but the first thing I noticed was that it isn't able to hold very much. I only needed to carry a thin drawing pad and a couple of 1/2-inch binders, that was pretty much it besides some other papers I had to carry. Within the first week I used it one of the zipper sliders broke off, it had another so I was fine with it, it was already hard to close but losing one of the sliders made it harder to zip up. I kept using it but then a couple weeks later the teeth of the zipper somehow became misaligned and I can't even zip it up now, no matter how hard I try to fix it. This is a terrible backpack- it can't hold anything and (at least in my case) it doesn't last very long. I would not recommend this to anyone
