I was looking for a laptop bag that would protect my new 13" Mac Pro laptop. I read the reviews for some of the other Belkin laptop carriers, and was impressed by all the useful pockets that were described, but concerned that they didn't sound too roomy, and as I usually cart a lot of stuff back and forth to the office I wanted something a bit bigger. This case is it. I bought a neoprene sleeve designed for my laptop (Case Logic 13.3-Inch Reversible Neoprene MacBook Shuttle XAS-13) and after putting my laptop inside of that sleeve, together they fit inside the velour lined laptop pocket in the 15" Messenger Bag with only minimal play. This bag was designed for a 15" Dell Energy Collection laptop, and I think would provide good protection for any 15" laptop without any sleeve. There is very thick foam inside the front, back, sides, top and bottom of the main compartment. Your laptop will be well-protected from bumps etc. Re: the other pockets, in the main compartment there is a zip pocket for pens (4" x 12"), 2 mesh pockets for external hard drives etc (6" x 6"), & 2 small pockets for business cards. The pocket on the front of the bag actually extends beyond the zip all the way to the top and sides of the bag (about 2" all the way around) and the pocket for your MP3 player inside that is big, an iPhone fits inside it comfortably. The port for your iPhone/iPod headphones is still there. The front pocket has extra foam in its cover, though not as thick as that padding the main compartment. There's a non-zip pocket on the back of the bag that could hold a notebook or two. The separate 6" x 12" zip pouch (chocolate brown) easily fits my Mac's power adapter and cords. It too is padded on the side that doesn't zip up. Like Belkin's other newer Messenger Bags, if you want to carry your laptop & accessories *and* other stuff too, there is room in this bag, you can comfortably get plenty in this very lightweight bags (which weighs practically nothing on its own). The shoulder strap is wide and comfortable, though only minimally padded. Note, however, that this bag does NOT have the standard clip that facilitates removing of the bag...unless you carry the bag by the padded handle on the top you will have to pull this one off over your head. There is no pocket in the strap on this one. The strap is comfortable and easily adjusted (shorter/longer by about 1 foot). The seams all feel solid to me, they are all double sewed, I see no stray threads. It should tolerate daily wear and tear well, though I guess time will tell. The zip pulls are all the same olive green as the inside of the pockets, and attach to the zips by metal loops, nothing flimsy there. As you can see in the Amazon picture, the zips on both the main compartment and the front pocket don't open up those compartments all the way (a good feature in my mind, to allow going in and out of the bag without the risk that everything will fall out). The colors shown on the Amazon picture are pretty true to life (the green on the strap and inside the main compartment and pockets is an earthy olive). Main point: this is the perfect bag if you're looking for a lightweight laptop bag with plenty of room for extra things and you don't mind a sling strap that you have to pull over your head.

Overall I like this bag, I got it for my 15.6 HP wide-screen laptop. Unfortunately the laptop fits really snug and I have to work to get it out.

There are two small interior pockets in the main compartment that hold my external hard drive and mini mouse and there is another pocket in the outside zippered compartment that I put my itouch in. The padding on the laptop sleeve is very good and will protect well. After I put the laptop in there isn't much room for anything else, books, folders, etc. There is a pocket in the back that would hold a medium sized book or two.

The size of this bag is nice, the colors are good and the shoulder strap is comfortable and adjustable. Bottom line though it's just too small for a 15.6" laptop.

UPDATE: I previously thought this was too small for a 15.6" laptop. After using it for school for a few days though, the fabric stretched and it fit in comfortably. I use it all the time at school now.

Got this for my brother for Christmas as he was getting a new laptop from my mom... He loved it! The colors are lighter in person than in this photo- more of a leaf green and lighter brown. I didn't expect it, but the fabric looks like that stretchy kind they use for laptop sleeves... Still great though, and at a wonderful price! My brother really liked it.

Great little laptop bag, relatively compact and lightweight, but large enough to fit up to a 15.6" widescreen laptop plus accessories. This is a brilliantly good bag, reasonably good looking, and certainly worth the price. Great protection as well.
One thing that isn't obvious is that the bag is soft enough on the front and sturdy enough internally to be used as a comfortable lap desk when sitting. The front compartment naturally fits the curve of your legs and won't move a whole lot.

Pros:
-Compact but well padded
-Accessory case
-Lots of compartments
-Comfortable strap
-Works as a lap desk as well.

Cons:
-Strap not the most comfortable
-Can be difficult to get in to some compartments because the zippers don't go all the way around.

Absolutely worth the price, a bag I could suggest anyone use.

I ended up returning this item after I received it. It's an all around "okay" bag. The straps seemed too bulky and the entire bag itself just looked overall too big for just a laptop bag. The color brown looks a bit lighter in person that from the image.

I have a 15" laptop and have had trouble finding a good computer bag where the laptop fits without a force. Well, this is it. It has a decent amount of padding and my laptop fits in it with easy, no struggling, no hassles. The separate pockets are really nice to say organized but it is sometimes hard to tell one from the other. The jury is out on how durable it is but I will certainly find out after a few trips.

I was pleasantly pleased with the bag. The quality is great and it's actually roomier than anticipated.

This messenger bay holds laptop and is big enough to be most any thing you would need in.I ride a bike and this works really well for that.The color you have to get used to but because it was discontinued I got it for a great price . Belkin makes good products and I am very happy with this bag.

The colors are slightly off to what is shown but not by much. The brown is slightly brighter. Plenty of pockets, but not so many that you will lose things. My laptop is nicely protected with the padding and the zipper seems good quality. I've used it for a few months now and would definitely buy it again if I needed a second one.

Really cute bag with eye-catching design. Very comfortable to use. It has nice silicon handle and has a compartment for all the laptop's accessories. Provides great value for your money.
