I have to say, the actual holder for the phone is pretty good and the vertical vs horizontal view works well. The big problem I have with this: after I dock it, I have to plug into the headphone jack on the top of the phone. WHY?! I should cradle it and be done with it. The Belkin tuner that supported the 3G phone does just this: powers the phone, plays audio through the bottom connection on the phone to an AUX out cable on the bottom of the cradle. Problem with the older one is its the older connection with less pins so the phone screams incompatible (no big deal) and the actual male side on the cradle is smaller and will not plug in with a bumper on the phone. This *newer* drive is a ridiculous step backwards. I can only guess it's because of licensing issues with Apple that would increase costs for the added ease of use.
