Best Case with the best stablility at almost any angle,
By
This review is from: Belkin Flip Folio Stand for Apple iPad 2 (Blacktop/Midnight) (Personal Computers)
I have tried a few different cases include the Targus Versavu 360 Degrees Rotating Stand Case for Apple iPad 2 2nd Generation Wifi / 3G Model 16GB, 32GB, 64GB THZ045US NEWEST MODEL (Black/Blue Interior) and this is by far the most stable case I've used. I can use it at any angle from the top to the bottom of their ridges and it doesn't fall over. The Targus 360, though cool to be able to spin it portrait, was terribly unstable. the slightest touch on anything above the midsection caused my iPad to drop flat and fall out of their "ridge". Even landscape, touches at the top would cause it to fall out. With this Case, I can have on my lap or hard surface and its stable at whatever angle I put it at.
There are a very small laundry list of issues with this case that may make or break it for some people. First, as someone here mentioned, there is no cut-out for the speakers on the back. There are only some holes on the side. This doesn't cause any issues for me. The second is my only complaint. The flap that holds the iPad in the case doesn't attach in any way and is just kind of tucked in. This causes the iPad to slide down just a slight bit in the case so the holes aren't 100% aligned. (someone else mentioned that the holds didn't line up well, this is why.) Keep in mind this doesn't cause any issues with it holding the iPad, just the slight alignment shift for the pre-cut holes. I solved this by putting some sticky velcro on the flap. All in all, with my slight modification, this is what I would consider the best landscape case on the market right.

Very Good Case for the iPad 2,
This review is from: Belkin Flip Folio Stand for Apple iPad 2 (Blacktop/Midnight) (Personal Computers)
I got this case in the mail a few days ago after getting sick of the iPad 2 magnetic cover. THis product fits great although the headphone jack doesn't line up perfectly and the speaker is covered. I like the way you can sit the iPad in different positions and it holds well. The price is exactly what I was prepared to pay. I wish I had kept the receipt and box for the iPad 2 cover, so I could return it to the Apple store. THis was a great purchase. I only wish it would sit the iPad in portrait position.

After looking many cases I finally decided to buy this one. I bought it at a Target Store for the same price. It is well made, great quality. The inside of the case is purple which gives it a little feminine touch. The holes line up perfect with my iPad. I can set my iPad from multiple angles.Overall I am very pleased with the case

Works fine. I dint like the feel nor the smell of this cover. Fits fine but nothing great about it. I bought it because of the different angles available but I am going to buy some other cover.

I previously wrote a review recommending this case as perfect for lap use while commuting. However, after about two weeks with the case, it no longer holds the iPad at lower viewing angles (the angle used for typing). This is problematic. My whole purpose in buying the case was to utilize the mutli-angle functionality. I could prop it up at the comfortable viewing angle when needed, then lower the angle for typing, then put it back up for viewing. But after a while the typing angle just wouldn't hold, making the case kind of useless for my purposes.
Note that this may be just a problem when using the iPad/case on your lap. I think the cover was bending in the middle (between my legs), causing the ridges to curve and not hold the iPad. This curving was especially pronounced at the edges, where the lower viewing angle ridges are. If I use the cover on a hard surface, it holds much better, at all angles. However, that is not what I purchased the case for. I'm returning the case today -- I will try the Zaggmate/Logitech keyboard case instead (which is inexplicably not sold on Amazon).

I ordered this in hopes to get it by May and it just arrived !
This case is very well crafted and the Best Product for the Price that I have seen. I love the support it gives as well as the versatile viewing angles. VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PURCHASE...If you are looking for a high quality case with excellent protection and durability, this is AWESOME! *a side note: I purchased the smart cover and returned it due to lack of protection, as well as a case from Best Buy that was not durable and cheaply made, all for 39.99... THIS CASE IS THE BEST FOR THE $ BY FAR!

I would probably give this 4 1/2 stars if I could, but I really love this case. My iPad feels very well protected in here and I love different viewing angles. It does seem to slide down in the case, so I occasionally have to push it back a little to get everything aligned. I would love some sort of vertical viewing option, but don't care for Apple's cover and haven't found anything else.

Finally bought a case for my Ipad 2. Love the purple color inside, very sturdy. Not perfect, would be nice to be able to use the stand while vertical, but can't have everything. Fits well, all cutouts match. Works well for now.

I really like this IPad case. I had a hard time finding an IPad case without a magnet on it so i was excited to find this. I like the color. Although you can't really tell in the pictures it is pretty purple. I would say it is a lighter purple than "Midnight" but it is still very attractive. The holes line up in the right places except for the on/off button. You kind of have to search around to find the button but it's not too bad. I also found that when i first put my IPad in it the "home button" cover didn't line up perfectly but as it has been used more frequently it has started to fit the IPad better.

Stylish & Secure,

This review is from: Belkin Flip Folio Stand for Apple iPad 2 in (Purple Lightning/Midnight) (Personal Computers)
I purchased this case for my brand new iPad 2. Having used Belkin products in the past with mixed results, I did research this item quite extensively before deciding to puchase it. I needn't have worried. This is stylish, well-built protection for your iPad at a reasonable price. I especially love the fact that this case is stylish and businesslike at the same time. I wanted a purple case, but I didn't want something ostentatious or juvenile. The Belkin Flip Folio in Purple Lightning/Midnight fits the bill perfectly. It feels sturdy and well-built, without being as heavy or over the top as some other iPad case choices, like the Otterbox range. All the cut outs on the Belkin case line up seamlessly with the iPad's many ports. I love the elastic band closure on the front of the case for added security. There's even a cut out on the side of the case where the iPad's speaker is located, which allows you to listen to movie or music without the speaker being muffled underneath the case itself. The purple is not quite as royal purple as it appears in photos, but more of a purple/magenta shade.
The only thing I would change is the little "flap" that you tuck in behind the iPad when it has been placed inside the case. There is no secure way to fasten/close the iPad inside the case, except by this little tuck in flap. Your iPad cannot fall out of the case, because this flap is lined up next to the 'spine' of the case. However, the iPad can sometimes shift a little bit when it has been inside a purse or backpack. The weight of the iPad shifts down inside the case, and the screen can be slightly out of alignment inside the case. It would have been a nice addition on Belkin's part if they could have provided a way to close the flap securely so this minor shifting does not occur, but it's not that big a deal. All-in-all, this is a very well made, sturdy case, and I am very pleased with my purchase. |
