I really like this case because it is rigid and just very tight. It hugs the iPad edges-almost like it's a part of the hardware. Its "grip factor" is moderate. I'd hoped the clear material would have a little more friction resistance, but it's not horrible. For some, this moderate grip might be perfect.

But BEWARE BEWARE: BEWARE if you plan on using the Apple Camera Connection Kit, and / or any common, slightly fat 3rd party audio jacks, you will have to peel back or remove the case in order to plug in. The holes simply were not designed big enough to accommodate these accessories. It's a shame. It is especially surprising that, given this obvious incompatibility with the iPad's native accessories, Apple actually sells these at their stores.

After trying several other silicone cases, I found this guy. It is well cut, no notable seems from the molding, The buttons on the case are more raised than the others I've tried, but not too much to be an annoyance and are easier to press. There is no hole in the case for the Apple logo (thankfully) which was my biggest complaint about several others. The hole in the bottom would not fit the dock but is cut perfect for the sync cable. The case has a slight haze but is still very translucent. It is slim, perfect fitting, sharp looking case. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Bought mine within the first week of the iPad WIFI launch. It love the snug fit and feel without adding much bulk. The clear color sold me. Today though, it's an unsightly yellow, dingy case. My wife just asked me yesterday, "when are you going to get rid of that nasty thing?" That's it, it has to go!

Color: Black Verified Purchase
I just received the Grip Vue case from Amazon. It's a perfect fit for the iPad. The case fits snugly and all of the buttons and controls are accessible. With the Grip Vue on, your iPad will probably not fit into stands, unusual chargers, keyboard docks or other devices. However, the case does not obstruct the Apple connector/charger. That fits just fine through the case's cut-out opening.

The case has a nice feel to it and will definitely keep the iPad from slipping around while I'm holding it. It's also thick enough to offer decent protection for the back of the iPad.

It does not cover the front of the iPad. While some reviewers consider that to be a drawback, I prefer to have the glass and beautiful display unobstructed. If you really want to cover the front of the iPad, I suggest purchasing a clear overlay like the "invisible shield".

The price is the only reason I give the Grip Vue four stars instead of five. There's no doubt that it's expensive. Personally, I'm willing to pay a little extra for a high quality case like this one, but I can understand why some people might feel that it's too pricey. If you want the best, buy this case. If you want something that's almost as good, but not quite, buy something cheaper. It all depends on how comfortable you are spending this much money on a case.

I love the Grip Vue and highly recommend it.

Color: Clear Verified Purchase
I bought this case from Amazon. Initially, I loved the way that it protected my iPad without concealing the beauty of its design and without adding bulk. However, as time went by, the case seemed to become discolored - from being almost clear, it slowly became yellowish. I am very careful with my things, so I don't think it's anything I did. I have replaced the case with the "official" Apple case. However, I think this case was MUCH more attractive when it was new. Too bad it didn't stay clear.

UPDATE: I contacted Belkin about the discoloration and they offered to replace the case for me. I did have to pay postage to get it back to them, so that was a bummer. But the replacement case arrived quickly. They must have tweaked their formula for the material they use to make the case because it's been a few months and I do not see any sign of yellowish discoloration or any change in the color/texture/flexibility of the case whatsoever! I'm thinking my old review may not hold true for the newer versions of the case that they are currently selling.

Color: Clear Verified Purchase makes this Belkin slightly more desirable. As per the title, anyone in the summer of 2012 that wants to refresh the look of their ancient original iPad, the options are growing quite limited. My cheapie folio case had seen better days and since I adore my Belkin iPhone case, the low price and super basic design of this model attracted me.

Here's what I LIKE
1. Price. Compared to most cases for any model of iPad, they're practically giving this away

2. Easy on and off AND it's not so bulky that it won't zip into my Acme Made brand Slick case for travel

3. It feels good in the hand. Nice no-slip factor. And if you're into that sort of thing, the non-opaque back highlights the Apple logo

What I very much DISLIKE:
1. It's stiff and growing more stiff. Kinda weird when it's supposed to be flexible. It's like there's an expiration date for TPU?

2. You don't have to be a smoker to know this is gonna be yellow in 3 months.

3. Mine arrived scratched-- torn, actually--right at the bottom near the 30-pin jack. It wasn't enough damage to return, but it looked liked someone had sliced it with a knife. Tells me this isn't as hardy as advertised.

4. The on/off button and volume toggle must be pressed pretty darn hard. The TPU, as mentioned, is stiff. My girly hands struggle.

5. My biggest gripe and one I didn't see mentioned by other reviewers-- it muffles the sound!!!

Regarding the sound thing, I initially thought it was in my head or that every YouTube video I selected had cruddy sound. But nope, a simple test of removing it proved I wasn't going crazy. It does indeed impede audio..
