I just bought a new computer and needed to add USB ports to it. I thought I had a great solution but discovered that this card is NOT compatible with Windows Vista. There are no drivers on the enclosed CD for it and the company's website (Belkin) doesn't acknowledge that it is one of their products. Also, in the spirit of "plug and play", I installed it anyway but my computer wouldn't even boot up with it installed. I don't blame anyone; I just wish there was more information on the website before I purchase.

After the USB ports onboard the Dell computer died, I needed something to connect the myriad of USB devices on the desk (2 external storage devices, two printers and one scanner). I purchased the Belkin controller because I've been satisfied with other Belkin products that I have purchased in the past; their price was a bit higher than similar controllers from other manufacturers. The hardest task was extracting the USB controller card from the plastic packaging. Plugged the card in, powered up the computer (Windows XP Pro) and plugged in the devices. Everything worked like magic and faster than the original onboard USB ports.

Easy installation on my Power Mac G4 - no drivers to install. I've tried other usb cards, but Belkin is definitely the one to get. Works perfectly with Mac OS 10.4.8; iPods synch and charge without any issues.

I installed this on my old Dell 4600, which has integrated USB 1 (which has been causing all kind of grief lately). The card was easy to install, and it works great.

the only problem I've had with this is if I leave something plugged into it (like an iPod) and try to put my computer to sleep, it doesn't work and I have to reboot.

Otherwise it works great! I have an old Mac G4 867mhz that did not come with USB 2.0.

Installation was simple (requires adding a card internally to your computer), and Windows XP supplied the rest of the installation. I did install the supplied driver, but was probably not needed. I have used this card for a month now without any problems.

This product worked as expected. I use Ubuntu Linux and no software installation was required. It worked right out of the box.

Bought it, got it promptly, installed it in minutes, worked perfectly. What more could you ask for?

This was a quick painless upgrade to my emachines home PC. Worked right the first time I tried it, following the instructions which were clear and easy to follow. Now my iPod synchronizes a little quicker thanks to the USB 2.0 connection. Good deal for the price i think.

Despite the Amazon ad and picture, the "Hi-Speed USB 2.0 5-Port PCI Card
by Belkin" from Digi Accessories (at least the one I received) is not a Belkin product. It doesn't look like the card in the picture and it doesn't work with many of my USB devices.
