5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my Kindle
I bought this for my 3rd generation Kindle, but it also fits my 2nd generation Kindle perfectly. I have an m-edge cover for the K2, and it's a tight fit, but the case and Kindle both fit in this case. I haven't bought a cover for my K3 yet (as of this writing, the one I want is still in pre-order status) but considering it's smaller than the K2+case, it should fit well...

1.0 out of 5 stars Too Small for IBM Netbook
This was listed as a perfect size for the IBM netbook. I have been looking around for the perfect laptop case for my daughter's netbook. I was very excited since this was the first that I have seen that is not a netbook sleeve. I immediately bought this from Amazon. Bad idea! At least an inch of the netbook was protruding out that there was no way to zip or even hold the...

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my Kindle, September 10, 2010

This review is from: Belkin 7" Laptop Carrying Case (Plum Berry/Plum) (Personal Computers)
I bought this for my 3rd generation Kindle, but it also fits my 2nd generation Kindle perfectly. I have an m-edge cover for the K2, and it's a tight fit, but the case and Kindle both fit in this case. I haven't bought a cover for my K3 yet (as of this writing, the one I want is still in pre-order status) but considering it's smaller than the K2+case, it should fit well together.

The case is pretty sturdy, with an almost neoprene feeling bag sewn inside a hard canvas bag. The colors are vibrant - not really a deep purple, but more like a darker purple-ish fuchsia for the outer case and a brighter (but still dark) fuchsia for the inner. (The outer case is on the pink side of the purple spectrum and has a lot of black in it.) There are pockets on each side of the main compartment that are roomy enough for the powercord and other small accessories. The double zipper is well constructed and zips smoothly. The strap is adjustable and is the same color as the outer case. The handles are padded and are part of the same piece of canvas as the outer case, so there is no chance of them tearing off.

There is a cheap plastic circle connected to one of the handles, but I think that's for hanging up in a store display, so that won't impact this review. There are also 2 hard plastic round caribeener-type fasteners for attaching the straps to the sides. The tabs you attach them to are the same sturdy canvas as the outer cover - double thickness, and they are sewn in securely. I think the fasteners would break if you opened and closed them a lot, but since I'm keeping the straps on my bag indefinitely, I don't think that will be an issue.

This is very sturdy and very well made. I am very impressed with the quality of this bag, especially for the price, which was $9.56 when I bought it. This will be great for travel.

I was very excited since this was the first that I have seen that is not a netbook sleeve. I immediately bought this from Amazon. Bad idea! At least an inch of the netbook was protruding out that there was no way to zip or even hold the bag at the handles. This bag was meant not for a 7" laptop but for a 5" laptop (if there is any). I had to return this to Amazon as it was a waste of money. I am still on the lookout for the perfect laptop bag for the IBM netbook.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent means of transporting a Kindle, February 2, 2011

Although described as "laptop carrying cases", no labtop, even the smallest netbook, will fit in these bags. However they are the perfect size for a kindle in a leather cover. Both my wife and I use these to carry our kindles around hands free. There's enough extra space for the charger and a few documents.
