Between my netbook, my Kindle 2, my iPhone, and the Universal remote, some days there isn't room to sit on the couch without something ending up lost in the cushions. Enter the Belkin Laptop Hideaway. I ordered the "Dove/Tarragon" which is really beige and light green. It's about the size of a small magazine rack, with 3 compartments for organizing things.
One side is a single, long compartment running the length of the Hideaway, and half the width. I keep my 10" netbook in here, but it could also hold my 13" MacBook or 14" HP work laptop. The inflexible handle makes inserting or removing the laptop slightly inconvenient, but not impossible. Since my netbook is smaller than the compartment, I tuck the power cord and wireless mouse into the large compartment with it. The other side of the Hideaway is divided into two compartments, one about 2/3 the length, the other about 1/3 the length. My Kindle 2 in a neoprene sleeve just fits in the smaller compartment, at a slight angle, but I keep it in the wider section for easier use. In the smaller compartment, I have put the Kindle charger, and the Universal remote so they don't get lost. There is a small pocket at the top of this compartment, similar to a business card pocket in a wallet, that is the perfect size to tuck my iPhone into. With everything tucked neatly inside, I can set the Laptop Hideaway at the end of the couch, and everything I need is within easy reach but no longer in danger of disappearing into the cushions or being sat on and broken.

This is a great idea- a laptop holder that I can keep in the living room next to my recliner that protects the laptop, keeps it super handy and looks great!
My spouse was NOT keen on my buying "another laptop bag" but has changed her mind after seeing that this keeps me from leaning my laptop against the side table - looks much tidier. And has room for the power cord and papers if I want to take it to another room to work. I wasn't sure if I'd really like this but I liked the idea- but now that I'm using it I really love it.

This holds my computer and accessories without looking like a huge computer bag. Would not use to carry out of the house, but very nice storage.
