This review is from: Belkin Leather Folio Case for iPod nano 3G (Black) (Electronics)
After a long search for a case for my nano, I found this great cover. It fits the ipod very well. It gives a profesional look and full protection. Once you open the cover the ipod can be easily slide in and out from the side. The magnetic closure is perfect. The only cons it that to access the expansion port, you will have to take it out of the cover. But like I mentioned before, it is so easy to take it out of the cover that I do not mind. If you plan on having it on your briefcase, pocket, bag, etc, it is perfect. If you are a heavy user of the expansion port, you might want to think about it.
I liked it so much that I bought the same cover for all the other Ipods in the house. (Ipod 60G and 80G) My wife loves hers!

The Belkin Leather Folio case for iPod Nano 3G is excellent. I bought it mainly to protect my iPod Nano while traveling back and forth to Europe. The case is lightweight but very well made. The plastic window allows protection of the screen yet viewability is very good. It is an excellent case to protect your iPod Nano!

Having just returned an iMainGo "personal" speaker that, in effect, upconverted my iPod Nano 3G into a clunky boom box, I'm happy to report that this Belkin case is tailor-made for the little tyke. The word "Folio" is hardly an apt description for a diminutive, square-ish item that is barely any wider or taller than the Nano itself. The leather is good quality and smells it. A caveat: you can't charge the Nano while it's in the case (some easy, minor adjustments by the manufacturer to the elastic strap would have made the dock connector accessible) nor is its audio output easily accessible to certain cables (esp. with a right-angle mini-plug) while encased. If purchased at its retail price (or anything north of 10 bucks), the Belkin Case will no doubt disappoint, though to see a large box arrive from Amazon with contents smaller than a single playing card may provide some compensating humor. Note: Although Amazon currently lists this Belkin Nano 3G case as "black," it's actually black&brown. In fact, I see no difference between it and the Belkin case listed as "black&chocolate" at a lower price. Maybe Amazon has in mind the skin color of the consumer. Whichever is lower priced, I'll be that color. [12/2011): After 3 1/2 years of use and no visible wear to this case I've had to raise my rating to 5 stars. Also the currently low price makes it even more attractive. Just make sure it's a Belkin with a dark color (black-brown or brown-black) and go for the least expensive. This has proven to be one of the better, perhaps the best, Nanos, worth hanging on to and protecting. Every succeeding iPod has been loaded up with excessive baggage, unwanted updates and intrusions. This may be Apple's last "pure player." My new iPods, with Genius and Clouds and cameras, have been nothing but a pain, sometimes freezing up my iPod and in effect taking all of my music away from me.]

Belkin Leather Ipod Nano Case Black/Chocolate,
I love this case. I received it for Christmas. The only way to improve upon it would be to add a clip.

The case is really good looking and has excellent leather quality. The only issue is the plastic cover for the screen, it is does not stay completely flat, thus producing glare, which is not good when watching videos.

Good, but not great.,

Pros:
- Excellent quality leather - Great colors (black on outside, brown on inside) - Very slim - Easy to slide the iPod in and out of the case - Very sturdy and offers excellent collision protection Cons: - Protective film over screen doesn't lay flat (just cut it out) - A little harder to navigate w/ the click-wheel (raised edges on case) - Not able to connect to USB cables for syncing/charging - Doesn't fit perfect, slightly off on one side, barely noticeable though - Awkward to hold iPod open b/c flap on left doesn't fold back - Because of above, this isn't good if you are watching videos, and need to be constantly looking at the iPod (fine for just music though) Overall, I like this case, but I'm not hugely happy, but I am definitely satisfied.

ipod 3G leather case,
By You do have access to the headphone jack and locking switch. You do not have access to the connector for docking with the case on. The Ipod slides in and out without any difficulty. The plastic cover is over the LCD display and the operating wheel is not covered. This is a beautiful leather case for the ipod and I highly recommend it.

Well made, but inside protective cover is too thick (interfers with finger angle to click wheel) and the Nano won't go in far enough to be centered.
Also comes with a vision distortion clear cover for the screen (sewn in), which is redundant because you have the case cover to protect it. I like the design, it looks and feels nice, it just doesn't fit or work well. The similar folio for the iTouch by Belkin fits perfectly. Disappointed.

Nice case, but docking port completely inaccessible,
This review is from: Belkin Leather Folio Case for iPod nano 3G (Black) (Electronics)
I bought this case because I wanted something with a screen protector for my iPod. The case itself is rather nice, and closes magnetically (watch your credit cards around it). However, I discarded it rather quickly because I constantly had to remove it from the case to sync or charge it. I eventually went with a case which allowed lots of protection, but maintained access to the ports. If you don't mind taking it out of the case all the time, it's a nice buy, otherwise.
I'm particularly disappointed because they apparently designed the case for the classic with full port access. And, agreeing with another review, it's brown, not black. |
