Do optical cables differ? Can you hear the difference? My "input" is this: one inexpensive cable that takes the place of separate R & L cables and provides all of your digital information from the DVD player to your AV receiver is a must-have. I plugged in the cable (easy) to the DVD player and into the optical input on my AV receiver and I am all taken care of. When I am listening to audio CDs or watching surround sound DVDS I only have to select the "Optical Input" option and choose what effect (such as surround, stereo, etc.) and I am good to go.

Don't know if u can really mess up a cable but it fits right and works great. Not much more to say

These cables have only one very small down side - they don't 'Click' when inserted.

They do fit firmly and work perfectly. With cables at 'BB' running over 50 bucks - these little fellows are a real bargan. I think they are an excellent choice.

Also, they come in a heavy-duty zip-lock bag with the Belkin logo on it rather then those stupid 'blister packs' the expensive cables come in. This means you can get the cable out without losing a finger, and re-use the nice heavy duty bag to store the extra cables we alway seem to end up with.

At the price point and quality you can't go wrong with these. Especially useful in reducing cable mess since in most home theater setups the connecting components are close to each other and don't require any longer than 3 feet. Movies, games and HDTV broadcasts come alive and sound amazing.

This cable was shipped very quickly. It works perfectly between my HD-DVD player and Denon receiver. No problems whatsoever.

I purchased this cable to connect my HD Cable Box to my 5.1 Home Theater set-up. It works like a champ and HD programming with 5.1 audio is being being directed to the proper speakers. The connectors and cable are not as heavy duty as the Monster equivalent, but they are sturdy enough. I couldn't tell any difference in quality, so save yourself so money. Highly recommended.

I bought these to connect my home theater reciever and my DVD player. I also bought their 6ft brothers to connect the reciever to my TV. They form a tight connection and definitely improve over the generic crap at most electronic stores. The picture is better than S-Video. I'm sure that you can buy higher quality cables, but unless you have HD-TV or an LCD TV these are more than enough. That is unless you want to spend more than twice is much for almost nothing. I would highly reccomend belkin pureAV. I did my entire home theater with their products using the Silver line for audio becuase it mattered there. Don't buy monster unless you have money to burn or a $2,000 TV.
