The "Pure/AV" component video cables by Belkin are extremely high quality. As an electrical engineer with many years of experience I feel I have the experience to make this judgment. I have been using Belkin cables in my designs for over 30 years and have never had a problem.

These cables have heavy gauge wire with gold plated connectors. The beauty of the gold plated RCA connectors is they resist corrosion and offer a lower resistance connection which reduces electrical losses and helps produce a higher quality picture. Heavy gauge wire minimizes any electrical losses associated with the video signal strength.

Why buy from Amazon instead of Best Buy or another electronics retailer is simple. Cables and other accessories are "add on" purchases for people buying electronic gear. In other words, you buy them because you need them. Consider this, you researched and just purchased a new Blue Ray player at the best deal you could find and need cables. You pay whatever the store asks for the the cables without shopping around. The cables and other accessories are high profit sales for these stores and there is no difference in the quality of the cable from what you find on Amazon.

You ask why not purchase "Monster" cables. Again the answer is simple. Copper wire is copper wire and as long as you are using the gold plated connectors and the same gauge of cable, the results should be the same. The video signal is low and the larger cable makes little difference in performance. However for audio cables, using larger cables will result in better sounding audio due to the signals being of a much larger magnitude and the electrical losses associated with a smaller gauge wire would be greater resulting in poorer sound.

The best issue with buying this from Amazon vs. Best Buy or another electronic store is the price. This compares easily to the $58.00 cables available at Best Buy and Wal-Mart and will provide essentially the same performance as the $89.00 cables available from the same stores.

Clearly a fantastic buy and if you bundle it with a DVD or Blue Ray of approximately $6.00 you will receive free shipping. One more thing, the cable has a life-time warranty. You just cannot beat this deal.

Not much to say really. Right mix of flexibility and shielding. Oh, don't forget that you probably need the accompanying audio cables if you're getting these component video cables ;).

An excellent value. Beautifully packaged and made. Woks great, the picture is perfect. This cable is flat (not round) because the 3 cables that make it up are molded side-by-side.

These cables work great. If you have a progressive scan DVD player, component cables makes all of the difference. The picture is clearer, the colors are brighter and more distinct. I got these on sale, so search around and you can find a good deal.

I was trying to hook up an older component to my new LCD TV. My eyes are not as good as they use to be, but the picture looks great!

I have always used Belkin computer products and now that TVs and DVD players are essentially computers, why go elsewhere to buy your cables at twice the price? I have purchased several products from the PureAV line and all work great with my 50" Samsung and Sony Blu-ray s350. As noted by other reviewers, a famous brand name sold for twice the price does not mean a better cable. Too many companies are taking advantage of people's lack of digital savvy, using massive amounts of techno-speak to sell outrageously expensive products. Even in this day of modern technology, the old adage still holds...A wooden outhouse still works just as well as a brick one.

Nice quality cable that delivered exactly what I was looking for.
Much better price point that the more expensive "HYPE" cables.

This will do the job and will do it well!

The cables work fine. My complaint has to do with the picture they use to describe the cables. The cable are not gold plated. Granted with my 2006 television I probably wouldn't notice any difference in quality. Either way they should use the correct picture to advertise their product.

This is a great product. The cords are nice and sturdy, but still flexible. I have everything running component cables into my A/V receiver, then back out to my TV through these cables and there is no picture loss at all. My blu-rays' visuals pop and are crystal clear. My PS3 games look absolutely gorgeous. Shoot, even my Wii has component cables and the graphics and sound quality are well beyond what they would have been with their wimpy composite cables. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to cut down on the cords running around their entertainment system.
Be aware: these are only video component cables. There are no audio cables included. Some people need the audio portion and might mistakenly order these instead, so I thought I'd just remind anyone looking for audio AND video component cables, that these aren't them. These are only video.

Great cable great price. It does its job well. Amazing what you can get for a reasonable price. Most audio/video cables are a rip off, not these!
