My daughter actually had many items plugged in to this and blew the fuse in it. But the electronics were safe. Would buy again at the good price I had before.

This is the second surgemaster that I have purchased. I live in south Florida and power outages are not strange due to strong lighting storms in the area. The surgemaster has kept my electronics safe and has stand up to its reputation as a great and reliable surge protector.

Great Belkin product and I have 4 of them! Amazing value if you buy it when the price drops here at Amazon.

Works great and the outlet covers are nice. However it does NOT have a right angle plug - it's a standard straight plug.

Just what I expected and a little more. It looks good, works great and has the safety sliders on top of each outlet. It is better than a cheap one you'd buy around [...] bucks. I previously had an earthing issue and two of my laptops were connected to a high end surge protector and it saved the laptops while the bulbs and rest of the things that weren't connected to a surge protector fried including TV ! I think it's a good idea to have a surge protector for electronics.

Its a pretty no-frills power strip that I use to plug in my TV, DVD player, Cable Box, Wii and laptop charger.

Cord is a little shorter than I would prefer (I need like 15 feet) but this is my fault because I didnt measure first before placing my order.

Cheap Price, Gets the job done.

I only had one thing plugged into it and it lasted two days and then he just blew out and stopped working so I wasted my money on the thing.

Credentials: I work full time & attend college. My major of choice is programming.

The classrooms at the community college I'm currently attending don't have built in power outlets. The college is aware of this fact and has no intention of changing it, because well... they don't have to.

Anyway many students bring in extension cords, or outlet extenders (daisy style) so they can operate their laptops "on power". Yes that's right those long bulky orange cords. I'm tired of having to sit in the back of the class or near the closest outlet. That's where this product comes in. I bought this surge protector so my friends and myself could collaborate on group projects / in class work. It makes life so much easier when you're running more familiar software. As the description says it reaches 12'. I should have measured the class room as I could actually use 14' in one of my classes. It's the perfect size in all of my other classes though. Currently this is the longest surge protector size available.

This product has a phone line in / out port to protect your phone.
I added a length & outlet position to the attribute ratings.
Currently this can only hold x4 AC outlets (the big bulky ones) because of design layout.
It could have been easily improved, but it actually works out better for me as it is because it fits in my laptop bag (barely).
The cord is very thick. Much more thick than your average surge protector. (I have 3 different others & they are thinner).

I recommend this Surge Protector for it's length only. If you don't need it's length look else where. There is a radio shack model that I currently use for the majority of my stuff (valued at ~60 bought on sale for 20 at store) it has DESIGNED ROOM for 4 AC adapters W/ 7 other outlets as well as x2 AV in / out, Ethernet in / out, & phone in/out.

the bulkiness of this surgeprotector is not a problem at home, in fact the weight keeps it from turning over amidst the various cords & power adaptors. you might take a surgeprotector for granted, I did, until a lightning strike nearby fried my neighbor's computer. so when I needed one for another room I was glad to get the same Belkin model again.

We needed some surge protectors at work and this one fit the bill. With a nice long cord we could flexibly place this out of sight. It has worked well for us.

That said, I cannot comment on it's surge suppression yet, since we have luckily not run into any problems.
