I got this a few days ago, got the cheapest Monster brand cables out there, which were still a significant upgrade from the cheapos I'd had, and, well, I love it!!

It's true, you can't see the iPod menu on your tv, but it is liberating to have your entire cd collection (in my case, 15 days worth of continuous music on my iPod!) hooked up to your stereo and at your fingertips. With your iPod constantly charging, ready to head out the door with you fully charged at any time.

I've found the sound quality with the Monster cables quite excellent, and the remote to work well. I can be located in my multi-story apartment far away from the stereo, on a different floor from where it's located (cooking in the kitchen for example!), and I can use the radio remote to skip songs.

It's disapponting that Belkin didn't make this compatible with 220 volt electricity for travel in Europe, but for those of you in the States, I highly recommend it. I run mine off a transformer here in Belgium, and really like it!

This dock is great! it allows you to listen to your Ipod through your existing stereo system. It has outputs for fixed volume via RCA connectors as well as a pin type connector.

Using the RCA connectors, you cannot adjust the volume via the remote. You can only adjust the volume on the stereo it's self. Using the RCA connection method eliminates the need for adjusting the Ipod to the proper volume. i.e. the Ipod can be at any volume and the stereo will receive a fixed level. A much better system I feel.

The build quality is equal to that of the actual Apple brand dock. The huge difference is that the Apple dock, only allows you to hook up your audio portion of the dock via the pin type plug. In that case you can adjust the volume on the supplied remote or the Ipod it's self.

The belkin gives you both choices, so it's a major step above the Apple version.

The remote supplied is good for pausing, stopping, advancing through music. The remote too is of great build quality and works great through walls and any other situations I have presented within my home.

I have two of these-one for the children shows and one for the adults. Watch your video iPod on TV. It's great. The remote is very unreliable, but you don't need it once you set up your playlist, use the 'repeat all' setting and each movie/video will run right into the other. Keeps your iPod fully charged while viewing. S-Video ensures a DVD quality picture. EVERYONE with a video iPod should own one of these.

I have a 80gb iPod classic which I bought this dock for. Let's just say I never even got it off the ground, so I can't really comment on the working functionality of it. My unit did not work right off the bat - the battery tray was broken in the remote, and the main unit would not turn on. The construction (particularly the remote) is EXTREMELY flimsy. I returend it right away. I'm still looking for a good solution here.

I would reccomend against this dock for the quality issues. Usually I like Belkin products but I just can't say anything for this, except that it does look nice and is a nice compact size.

The Belkin TuneCommand A/V Dock worked flawlessly right out of the box, albeit very briefly. The remote control is extremely cheap & flimsy, and would never withstand a drop to the floor. As promised, the remote's RF signals will control the ipod through walls, however it's setup & sync procedure requires constant reprogramming, as the remote loses sync with the base way too frequently, essentially making the entire unit worthless. 50% of the time when you pick up the remote, it will not work, or the base station won't perform the correct function. I doubt if there is more than a dollar or two worth of materials going into the production of this product. Not recommended.

This is perhaps the most useful accessory that I have used with my iPod. Not only are the batteries always kept at full charge, WITHOUT using up a port on my computer, the hard connection to my stereo provides better sound quality than the wireless gadgets that I have used before.

The wireless remote works great, allowing me to control the device from the next room.

I did have a little trouble at first with the remote... it quit working soon after I got the unit. I found that the little tab on the battery holder that contacts the circuit board needed to be bent slightly upward to make better contact with the underside of the board. It is likely that I bent it down by accident when I installed the battery, and it was just barely making connection. After making this adjustment, the remote has worked flawlessly.

Note: I am using the dock with an iPod mini, so I have not tested the video functions.

Shortly after I received the dock, Amazon dropped the price by about 5 bucks (to about 60bucks), I sent a brief e-mail, and quickly received credit for the difference...THANK YOU Amazon!

I thought this was a perfect solution to my iPod needs, especially since I have a very decent stereo but I was very disappointed. The Belkin TuneCommand itself worked great but the signal to the remote was constantly being lost and I would have to reconfigure the remote to the base unit. This happened every time I used it and if I placed the remote down and decided to go back and change a song, the signal had been lost. RF signals aren't all that they are cracked-up to be.

I was expecting to see Song Titles and iPOD menus on TV but this device does not support that capability. It it solid looking device, very easy to set-up but since I really wanted to see all the titles on the TV and it does not supports it, I am sending it back.

So far this device is superior to its apple counterpart and most others on the market for a video / audio dock. I did a lot of research and stayed with this one as it is RF meaning the remote can go through walls. The griffin dock is what I keep in the bedroom - nice dock - remote and navigation kind of suck.

Belkin's dock is superior to Apple's for audiophiles since you have a stereo connection to your receiver rather than using the headphone output. The dock doesn't overcharge your iPod which some other docks do. Your battery is not depleted at all with the Belkin unit.
