I recently bought this item and I am quite happy with it. If you buy an Apple Cradle it's about $40 and add a USB 2.0 5-port Hub (which by the way most of them are really ugly and only 4-port) for $20 it's already a bit higher than buying this single device that helps you avoid clutter on your desktop as well.

Pros: no cable clutter, slim design, cradle for ipod and usb 2.0-hub, audio out, usb 1.1 and 2.0 compatible.

Cons: The leds on the front are a bit flashy for my taste, ipod re-connects and goes to "do not disconnect" mode every time I power up any other ac-powered devices connected to the hub.

Overall: Good device, great price.

I purchased two of these a while back and have loved them until recently. I got some new ipods and called up the belkin support number to order new adapters so they would hold my ipods correctly and not mess up the connector. After about 20 minutes on the phone the support guy tells me that the product is no longer supported and they do not offer adapters for anything newer than the 2nd generation nano. I have no idea why Belkin decided to abandon this product, it worked very well for me but they did so I cannot give this product over 3 stars.

If you have an older ipod, buy this. If you have or plan on getting an ipod touch, just walk on by.

Works as advertised. It charges and syncs my iPhone, and it doubles as a USB hub. There's not much more to say.

the TuneSync works great. comes with adapters for every size iPod (except probably the shuffle as mentioned in a previous review). no more laying my iPod on top of the CPU or desk where it can get bumped. it sits securely in the dock portion on top, syncs up with iTunes and charges. The USB hubs are an excellent bonus as my CPU is an older one and all my USB ports are in the back. this makes it very convenient and no more USB extensions hanging from the back of the PC.

This is a well designed and very useful device. It works completely as advertised.
It was helpful in reducing some clutter on my desk by combining the ipod base with a USB hub. It is a great looking design..
This item is not correctly named on the Amazon website. The correct name for this device is"BELKIN TUNE SYNC" NOT: TRUE SYNC I had to did into the technical specs to confirm the correct part # before ordering.

This attractive and functional product makes a great home for your iPod as well as providing connectivity to up to 5 USB devices. However, as of this writing Amazon is describing it as having a top-loading USB port, which is not true. The port on the top is an iPod dock, and it comes with adaptors for almost every docking iPod model, but it isn't compatible with the iPod Shuffle as Amazon describes it. (You could still put the Shuffle on one of the USB ports on the back, though.)

I bought this because I needed a USB 2.0 hub for my laptop and this has the bonus of having a dock for my iPod Nano. It fills both roles very well. I have three issues with it: First, it didn't come with an insert for the second gen Nano so it sort of just floats in there, be careful not to smack it or I'm sure it'll break the connector. Second, the ports on the hub are very close together. Not a deal breaker but mildly annoying. Last, occasionally when coming out of standby mode on my laptop the mouse plugged into the hub isn't recognized. All that's required to fix it is to unplug the hub from the laptop and then plug it back in. Not a big deal unless I'm using my portable hard drive. Overall I'm happy with the device so it gets four stars in my book.

Does everything it is supposed to. I hook up 2 printers, pda, camera and Ipod mini with zero issues. "plug and play" to my intel iMac. I like its small footprint. I only wish it had a standard size plug to wall, but that would not keep me from buying this product.

The True Sync does a great job of adding functionality while preserving as much desktop space as it can.

The blue LED is nice but only lites up when the iPod is connected.

The only thing to make this product nicer would be to integrate a memory reader.

If you leave your iPod IN the holster and turn your computer on, it may very well crash your startup. Simply reset (i.e. hold down the power button) and restart your computer. However this is annoying. Other than that, it works great for solving my mess of wires.
