The first time I used this wall charger, it did exactly what it was supposed to do, which was charge my iPod. Even though it doesn't seem relevant, I enjoyed the little blue light on the face of the unit. After using it, I unplugged the charger and set in on my desk. The second time I tried to plug in the charger, no lie, I noticed the electrical prongs from the charger itself were still in the wall outlet. Yep. When I unplugged the charger, the metal prongs broke off and stayed in the wall. It happened so easily that I didn't even notice it had broken until the next time I tried to use it. The most fun part about it was trying to find a useful rubber or plastic tool to pull the prongs out of the outlet. Yes it will charge your iPod. Yours may not break. Mine did. Luckily, Belkin seems to have pretty good customer service and warranties, so they are replacing the charger for free. All I have to do is pay to ship the defective unit to them :)

I originally purchased this product as I was traveling outside of the US and wanted something lightweight that I could use anywhere for both my iPhone and iPod as a recharger. This product has more than met my expectations. It is extremely lightweight to the point where I can slip it into my pants pocket, go wherever I need to go, and use it. I use this at home to keep my phone charged next to my bed, and use it to quickly charge my iPod when I'm not near my computer.

Note that the USB-to-device cord is only for recharging your devices; you can actually connect it to your computer, however, it will not transfer files, just recharge your device.

I have always been very pleased with Belkin products. This charger is no different. But, the blue charging light is too bright. I purchased this charger for my bedroom and the blue light is like a night light. I am no longer 3 years old and afraid of the dark.

Works perfectly. Only problem is the bright blue light. It is difficult to sleep with it charging.

The charger is working well for my son. He actually said, "Great." It is much more convenient than connecting it to the computer for a charge. He just plugs it in at night and it is ready for the next day.Belkin AC Wall and USB Charger for iPod with Dock Connector (White)

works great! took on a recent trip to europe. already had a converter so worked great.

Charger works, USB cable doesn't. So I use my own cable.

I read the reviews and it seems this Belkin unit works "great" if it works at all. And if it doesn't work people are understandably unhappy. I didn't return mine, I just threw out the cable and used the one I got with my iPod. Works fine that way. I figure I lucked out in that it was just the cable that was bad. If the whole thing was bad I'd have to return it for a refund. Too bad they don't just sell the wall wart without the cable. We wasted a bit of time trying to figure out what was wrong.

Probably wouldn't wanna buy Belkin products again. I can't see why poor quality control wouldn't be the norm in all their other products.

It works. I have been using it since Christmas (3 months) and it charges quickly everytime. I didn't expect or need anything else from it.

This charger works great. It's advertised as only being compatible with certain generations of Ipods, but it works with my 4th Gen Nano just fine.

This iPod charger is a must have. I have found that it is much easier to charge my iPod Nano with this device than charging it with my computer. Unless you are doing other things, charging your iPod with your computer wastes energy. The charging time with this device is about the same as charging with the computer.

In general, Belkin devices have always performed well for me.
