Great wireless card,

I purchased this card as a last resort attempt to cure my wireless connection. We have a 2 family house with access points on the 1st and 2nd floor, it is not an overly large house but try as I might I could not get a consistent signal in parts of the house with the built in LAN card on my Gateway laptop. I moved the routers, tried different antennas, downloaded updated drivers, even bought a new router for downstairs, but would only get 1 or 2 bars in the living room, with multiple drops. As a last resort I thought, why not disable the on board wireless and try a wireless card?My laptop does not have a PCMCIA card slot, so I was limited to wireless express. This was the least expensive card I could find. All I can say is, it works great. No drops, strong signal even outside. For me this was a great purchase. On my Vista laptop I did not have to install any software it used the Windows software and was a turnkey fix.

I bought this adapter a few days ago only to find out that is is not compatible with my PC running on Windows 7. review the compatibility with your current operating system before buying it because it seems that only works correctly with windows xp. I even called belkin and they dont take responsibility for issues of compatibility. The worst of all, it does not say anywhere in their website that this device does not work with windows 7. Be alert before buying it!!!!!!!!

Piece of cake with Vista...,

We have an HP dv6000 laptop with vista Home Premium that had the typical wireless card malfunction that you see all over the internet... More hassle than its worth to replace if yours is out of warranty which ours was. This was a perfect option for us. Didn't plug up one of our USB ports, we never use the expresscard slot anyway, and it has a fairly low profile when used. Much less than a USB antenna anyway. I am pretty tech savvy, but I don't think it was necessary in the least. Follow the directions that come in the box, and you should be up and running in 15 minutes. Functionality is great; our b/g router handles it just fine, and we are able to pick up wireless points when we travel also. Buy with confidence.
