I bought two of these wireless adapters during the Thanksgiving sale and had nothing but problems with them.

I have been working as a Systems Administrator for many years, and configure LAN/WAN networks all the time, but I met my match when trying to get these adapters to work.

I installed one on a Windows XP Pro desktop computer with all the latest services packs and security updates, and the other was installed on a Windows XP Home laptop. It took me 6 hours to get the device to work on each computer, which I thought were running stably after going to Belkin's website and downloading the latest drivers to try and correct problem with windows losing the devices but I was wrong. For some unknown reason even though I was only seven feet away in the same room, I would lose my wireless connection from the desktop and or the laptop. Windows would also intermittently not be able to find the device on both desktop and laptop and required me to restart the computers to find the device again.

All wireless devices seem to have their glitches do to software, hardware, or interference from the environment, but this is the worst I have ever worked with!

i needed a adapter that was easy to install and was compatible with windows vista and 7. this product fits these criterias.

I don't know what I would have done without it. I'm a teacher, my husband is in law enforcement. He's a gamer and I enjoy shopping online as a hobby.We have our entire household wireless. We have 2 laptops wireless, 1 desktop computer,2 differnt phone lines, and 3 game systems. And we still have really fast internet service. Since I shop alot I'm always looking for the best for my buck you might say so when I saw this I checked it out read some other reviews and thought I would give it a try. The belkin wireless G usb adapter arrived to my home in no time and I hooked it up in 2min. It was a easy to set up. Thanks for making a product that was awesome and simple to use.

This is so easy to use! Just plug it in and your connected. No more wires running around the room to our desktop. We just plugged it into the back of the desktop tower and could almost forget it was even there. Great product if your computer isn't wireless....this is fast and easy.

Don't get this if you don't have an inch 3/4 in clearance on both sides of the USB port and at least 1/4 in clearance top to bottom you are planning to use it in. It won't fit when your UBS ports are stacked horizontally or vertically and you already have other devices plugged in. I had to use a UBS extension cable just to plug mine in.

My son bought this adapter for me about 3 months ago and it broke about 2 weeks ago. It just stop working and the light did not come on. I mailed it back to Belkin In Compton, CA and as of today (03-16-09) I am waiting for the replacement. It has a lifetime gaurantee so no money was exchanged. I just had to pay for postage to send it back. In the mean time I cannot use my laptop to get on the internet. I have to use the desktop. But it did work well while it was working.

It works well. The only problems I had is that occasionally it loses it's connection. Out of no where, too. Suddenly a message will appear from the taskbar that says it is trying to regain the connection. It doesn't take long to do, but it does it often.

It is versatile too. I have it installed on two different computers, since they aren't networked, i can simply unplug the adapter from one, move it to the other and within a minute or so I have a connection. But it, too, loses the connection.

Overall, if you need an adapter, fast, or if your just tight on money, this adapter will do.

I have been using a Belkin G USB adapter for about a year. It has worked fine with the supplied CD on Windows ME and XP and three different Ubuntu Linux installations. John Flynn, Tucson

This is the second one of these guys I picked up. The other was by an even more generic brand than Belkin.

Uses the Realtek chipset, so the parts are made by a good name in ICs.

I purchase a ton of these usb wireless sticks to grab updates on machines when there are no lan-patches available, so you can trust me when i say it works fine for the price. People who are having problems with these adapters are really having problems with their networks.

Also, these only work on 32 bit versions of windows as far as I know. Although, I would not be surprised if you could find a Realtek driver that fixes that issue.
