Beware this helmet is for small kids only. This helmet is described as being for youth 8-14 yrs. When we received the helmet the packaging states 5+ years and for head size up to 21 inches around. My son is 10 yrs old with a head size of 22.5". It is way to small. Otherwise the helmet looks well made & has a nice design.

I bought 2 of these helmets for my grandkids for bike riding and they are the best helmet for kids.
The kids like the way they fit compared to others they had and they like that they are not heavy and are pretty "kool" looking too :)

The product would have been great, quality wise, but the ad stated it was a youth 8-14 size. What arrived was a child's 5+ size. Now I'll finally find out how well Amazon handles returns. I certainly wish the size had been correct, though, as it REALLY seems like a good helmet!

I really like this helmet. A previous reviewer said that the size runs small and that was fine with me because I was looking for a good helmet for my 6 yr old daughter when I bought her roller skates. This one is perfect. It's made better and looks much safer than the regular bicycle helmet she was wearing. This makes me feel better when she is roller skating, riding her bicycle or riding her scooter. It's worth the money, really cute, and the fit is comfortable so she doesn't complain about having to wear it.

Read the reviews, that people received size CHILD, and ordered this. Received size YOUTH for 8+yr, which was too big. What a mess with sizing of this product!!!! Otherwise the helmet is nice. But had to return mine.

The description on this helmet says it is for 8 - 14 years. However, upon arrival, it is a 5+ years helmet and really too small for my 9 year old son. The inside of the helmet has velcro and it comes with two sets of foam inserts you can use to adjust the size. One set is thick to make the helmet smaller to fit a younger child and one thinner set to fit an older child. Either set of inserts makes this helmet too tight for my average size 9 year old. Nonetheless, he likes the helmet and refused to return it. He is able to wear it without either set of inserts, but sometimes complains that the velcro hurts his head.

My 8-yr-old loves this helmet. It's no longer a fight to get him to put his helmet on. It was easy to adjust to get a snug fit.

I think this is a great helmet for both biking and scootering. It provides protection for both front and back of the head, and seems very durable.

The only thing missing would be a visor.

I mainly got this for my boy when I'm towing him. Obviously I wasn't worried about ventilation since he doesn't pedal. I traded vent for some extra protection in case I somehow manage to crash. This has a harder outer shell and more back of the head coverage than your average bicycle helmet, which I see as good. In any case an aero helmet isn't going to help whether he is pedaling or being towed by me. :P

Its also not too heavy, or at least he doesn't seem to mind. If he ever wants to ride his little bicycle, razor scooter, skateboard or something, this thing would work for that also. I won't need to buy a second helmet, so we're set.

We bought this helmet, in pink,for our 8 yr old Grandaughter and she loved it. It is very "girly" looking and the quality of construction and protection is great. She say's it is comfortable, but a little tight (so it may be a litlle small, but it works for now. I would definetly recommend this helmet, especially for the price.
