When purchasing something which is described as: "This portable thermometer hook and loop tape mounting" one would assume that a small piece of hook and loop tape would be included. Maybe yes, maybe no ... all I can attest to is that my item had none. PITA to have to go buy that somewhere. Also, at room temperature it is reading about 4-5 degrees high.

LIke the Bell thermometer. Remains to be seen IF the glue will continue to hold it in place. Wish the numbers were a bit easier to see.

The one I received was 6 degrees off. Fortunately, I had the patience to recalibrate it myself. You can insert a small screwdriver in the back and over twist the spring back and forth until it maintains the correct temperature. If you are not careful you will break it. It is amazing that the temperature in the car goes up to 130 degrees F. or more on a warm day.

Reads accurate, & looks nice & professional. Is way more accurate than a different brand I had bought at Amazon "Component Design Northwest AT140".

I just hope this withstands using it outside though. I know it says "inside" but I need this size outside & that's where I'm trying it. I wont know for a long time yet if it withstands moisture because moisture will get in it.

This little analog measuring device cannot fail (unless you break it or bought a lemon). Unlike digital thermometers, which can be compromised or easily broken (and require a power source), this device works on the natural expanding and contracting of a spring relative to the temperature it is exposed to. Like a fluid thermometer, unless it has been calibrated wrong, it cannot fail as the fluid in a thermometer will rise or fall based on the temperature it is exposed to (no electronics involved). I bought this device in hopes of getting temperature readings independent of a digital reading (which has its flaws) and to this day it has not failed me. The display is real small, so if you want real precise analog readings I would suggest a fluid thermometer with larger readings.
