I just started out biking for exercise and health. I have an expensive road bike which I use as a "stationary" bike at home on a trainer. Unfortunately, the professional bike seat I have for my bicycle HURT like hell!!! My butt was NOT used to the pressure on my butt bones. I bought this gel pad and slipped it over my standard sized bike seat (not the big fat CRUISER bike seats, but a regular bicycle seat) and it fit like perfectly!) I have to second the "doofus" comment left by another here. You can tell by the picture alone that this bike seat cover will NOT fit over a wide seat typically seen on exercise bicycles or cruiser bicycles. It DOES fit an adult standard sized bicycle seat.... Now, this pad will let my butt bones get used to biking and someday I won't even need it anymore - until then, it's comfortable biking for me!

If you have a bicycle with a standard seat, not one of those bikes with a wide seat, then this seat cover will do your bum justice. It slides a little when it's on the seat but it's not really a big deal. As long as you tighten the laces, it wont come off. When ready to wash, just let it soak in laundry soap and water, a little scrub, and let dry. I think a washing machine might ruin this seat. I'm happy that I chose this seat and my bum is too.

I bought the Bell Gel Contour Seat Cover after buying a bike for the first time in years. The seat on its own was uncomfortable for even short distances in a city with lots of traffic humps. The Bell Gel Contour Seat Cover not only makes these daily journeys more comfortable, but the fact that it is easily removable ensures that I can take it away with me while it is locked and easily reattach it when I'm ready to use the bike again. It's made a big difference to the quality of my bike rides!

I bought two of these, one for my boyfriend and one for myself. We both agree they make a great difference when riding for sure. MUCH less painful than taking long bike rides without the seat cover! My only issue with this cover is that it doesn't stay in place (especially on my bike - a Schwinn mountain bike) while riding. Mine keeps coming off the seat on the sides. Mainly this happens when I am getting on and off the bike and I have to keep fixing it and tightening it on the seat. My boyfriends doesn't come off the seat like mine, his only shifts slightly (he has a Schwinn mountain bike as well).

It is definitely a pain to keep having to fix but being that it is much more comfortable than a normal seat, I think it is a good buy. I just wish the seat stayed on as tight as when you first put it on.

seat cover has worked fine for about 4 mos now. withstood the entire hot summer sun as i locked it in parking lot at work. use it almost daily to commute. didn't burst or go flat within days as reported in other comments. very ergonomic and well worth the price.

almost a year and still going strong. outer fabric has faded a bit from having bike parked in direct sunlight for 8+ hrs almost daily. gel is still in place with no tearing or wearing as of yet.

I do not know why I waited so long to purchase this seat cover. It is amazing how much more comfortable riding has become thanks to Bell Gel Contour Bicycle Seat Cover.

i use this for my indoor cycling class at school.
you butt is still going to hurt but it hurts a lot less.
by comparison of before and after it is a definite plus in comfort.

I use my seat cushion for my Sunny spin bike. It gets the job done. Spin bikes are uncomfortable so anything is a help.

Item arrived very quickly. It fit my seat well but it slid on the side all the time not stabilized in place. I ride my bike 4 days a week back and forth for 15mins each way to center Philly. It definitely gave me some cushion room.

some cycling blogs say gel is a waste of money and that gel seats slip around on the seat on long rides. But I am telling you--this gel was a game changer. Usually I have to take 2 or more days off between even short rides because my tush hurts so bad. But with this marvelous seat I was able to go on a 6-hour ride and then ride my bike to work the very next day with almost no discomfort whatsoever. And it didn't slip on my seat at all. Great product!
