This product is a complete waste of money. Granted, I didn't expect "super high tech", given the relatively low price, but I DID expect it to actually improve my ability to hear things, not make it worse. The microphone picks up EVERY sound, thereby making it actually more difficult to hear the voice you are focusing upon. I tried it out in my relatively quiet living room, while listening to a DVD. I picked up so much background noise, that the sound from my TV was completely overwhelmed. What I could hear sounded as if it was being "amplified" through a long hollow tude, creating more of an echo than an amplification. Save your money, and go to a audiologist or professional doctor if you are thinking of buying this product for minimal hearing loss associtated with age or nerve damage.

The "amazing" Sonic Ears are advertised as a product that will save your partner many sleepless nights allowing you to turn your TV down to a barely audible setting, firing up the amazing Sonic Earz and listening at normal levels. This is nothing but an outright LIE!

Sonic Ears does nothing to amplify room sounds, in order to hear anything in the provided earphones, you must first turn the TV up to a normal listening volume for the mic pickup to feed it into the earphones. I can see where this might work for people with hearing difficulties, but the source MUST be at a normal to higher than normal volume in order for this thing to work which means IT DOESNT WORK AS ADVERTISED!!! My wife has been waiting for these things to show up for two weeks and man is she going to be PO'd i.e. not very happy at all.

This product is garbage and the manufacturer is lying to the public about what its capable of. Dont waste your money. 1 Q-tip

Don't be sucked in. This product simply doesn't work. Its feedback when you put the earphones in is deafening. And it magnifies EVERY sound. Not just the television, but your shirt rubbing the box, an extra heavy breath etc. An absolute waste of your money and a completely failed product.
