my 26-month-old twin boys have a larger head than most kids. the bell shell helmet in M/L comes with thick/thin fit pads. with the thick fit pads, the helmet was perfect for them, and now they have room to grow into the helmet since we also have thin pads to make it roomier inside. love it!

Pro's: Light - won't put too much strain on young kids neck; very young child friendly design.
Con's: Wish the padding was a bit more substantial. Padding is adhered w/ velcro which can come un-done.

We LOVE this helmet! My 15 month old wears it whenever he rides in our bike trailer... it is adorable, and he is learning that he has to wear it to go riding bikes! The different sized pads work great... he should be able to wear this helmet for a long time! :-)

Easy to "custom-fit" this helmet with two different sized pads to insert into the helmet - one thin and one thicker. My son calls this his "bike hat" and he knows he must wear it in order to ride his bike. He likes it so much, he wears it sometimes even after he's finished riding the bike. Bell is a great company, with a great product.

This is an excellent helmet. Our daughter is a very small 18 month old and it is nearly impossible to find a bike helmet for such a small head. This helmet is well made, very adjustable and very light. She is very picky about what she has on her head and this does not bother her at all. Very highly recommended.

My God Son loved his helmet, he wouldn't take it off. Perfect fit he just turned 2 and I got the sm/med. Colors on the helmet were beautiful.

My 2 yr old grandson loved this bike helmet in red. He wears it to ride his "rocket". It fit him well w/ the pads inside. Would highly recommend as first toddler helmet. Good quality, too.

My daughter's head is HUGE, and we were able to get fit her head comfortably and safely with this affordable helmet.

We love it, and the fit is super for our 18 month old. Still a little big, but the pads that come with it make it snug.

Sorry, just had to say that. It also fits well and offers great protection without being heavy.

It's going to take a little fussing to get the straps the way they should be, but other than that, this was a great purchase.
