Lightweight and durably constructed, the knee and elbow pads feature a bright pink ABS plastic guard and a princess crown on the top strap.

Appropriate for children ages 2 to 5, the helmet will fit heads measuring 19 to 20.5 inches. The helmet complies with US Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) safety standard for bicycle helmets for persons age 1 and older. The round helmet has seven vents at the top to help keep your child's head cool. It also features interior cushions with pink accents (extra padding is included), a pink strap with white buckle, and TriGlide slide adjusters on the strap for getting an easy, optimized fit.

The two knee and two elbow pads feature pink ABS plastic guards on a bed of pink mesh, and lavender Velcro strap with the top leather strap accented by a princess crown and hearts.

Fitting a Helmet
Here are some guidelines to getting the best fit for a bike helmet.

• Eyes: The rim of the helmet should be up to 1 to 2 finger widths above the eyebrows
• Ears: The straps should form a V under just beneath the ear lobe
• Mouth: When the rider opens her mouth, the buckle should feel snug on the chin and the helmet should hug the head

Before using the helmet, stand in front of the mirror and grab the helmet with both hands and twist it to the left and to the right. If the helmet fits right, the skin on the forehead will move as the helmet moves. If it does not, then the helmet is too loose and is unsafe for use and you need to start over.

My 2 year old daughter received this for Christmas. The arm/knee pads fit her fine, but the helmet is too big. My 5 year old can wear it. Not sure yet if the additional pads will make a difference in the size. I would recommend taking a child to the store to try a helmet on since fit is very important. Otherwise, it is a nice set.

I got this helmet and pad set for my 4 year old daughter. The measurements provided in the product description was very helpful. The helmet and the pads fit well for my daughter. The price is also very reasonable, I am very happy that my daughter is safe and she loves it too.

I bought this for my newly 2 year old to ride her scooter with. She is very petite and the helmet didn't fit her at all. My other daughter is 3 and it fit her a little loosely. That was fixed by the extra pads provided. It is definitely not for children under 3 unless they are bigger than average.
