I had a Vela helmet and got in an accident--flipped over my handlebars, tumbled onto my head and somersaulted onto the pavement. My head was fine! I got a big bruise on my side where my handlbars jabbed into me, but despite witness reports of scraping my head against the asphalt, I had only a minor bump on my head. The helmet...is cracked like an egg, but my noggin is fine. Which is why I'm ordering a new one.

This helmet fits comfortably, I like the little adjustable dial on the back that secures the helmet to my head--it's easy to open and close but stays fitted so that my helmet can be secure on my head every time I ride without a lot of fumbling. Also, my head stays much cooler than with other helmets I've used (although, it's a helmet, so it's still hot).

My only complaint is that they no longer come in the pretty pink color I had (2005 helmet color). The magenta is...not my cup of tea, so this time I ordered the blue. I wish Bell would bring back the light pink!

I had been riding for a couple of years with a "universal" fit helmet (not gender specific) that was always slipping around and really uncomfortable - not to mention made my smaller than average head look like it had a giant mushroom sitting on top of it. This helmet fits great! Comfortably snug but not too tight and easily adjustable. I have a 22" head (55 1/2 cm) and love the fit and look of this helmet. I had purchased the Bellisima Chloe helmet in the store for about $10 less than the Vela but the Vela offers more (and better) color choices so I returned the one to the store and ordered this one online instead. It was not on sale at the time I purchased so I'm sad to see it is now available for $19.99. Still, I'm happy with my purchase at $35 and would highly recommend it at full price.

I had never wore a helmet when ridign before but know it is a necessity with our 10 month old in tow. The helmet fits wonderfully and can be easily adjusted for smaller and larger heads, and when riding keeps your head very cool.Chin strap is not to uncomfortable either.

Feels very small and the straps come together at an angel the rubs your cheeks wrong. I loved the simple black this came in, but I'm going to have to actually go shopping before I buy another helmet.

I love this Helmet. The colors are perfect..... Was hard to find but I did manage to finally find one....

I love this bike helmet. I have a small head and I finally found a helmet that fits and a great color.

I fell in love with the white flowers design. I wanted something a bit girly but not obvious. This is perfect. The light gray pattern is just a background. If you look carefully you see it is a contemporary flora. The real reason I like the helmet-the fit. The other reviews were right. I needed no adjustments, other than the dial on the back. A ponytail feeds through above the back straps with no problems or bumping into the helmet.
No doubt this is a winner-pick your color and buy. I put in in my shopping cart but did not buy for a few days. I was surprised to see the price dropped to under $36. Can't be beat.
If you have problems with the amazon site and getting the product options to load into the cart, keep trying- you need to pick "universal fit" is you want white flowers design.

Got it for my girlfriend. She loves it. It looks cool (there are no discernible flowers on it, just wiggly shapes), fits well and adjusts effortlessly. I wish safety was a little cheaper though.

Nice lightweight helmet. I have an average size adult head and this helmet fit well.
