I chose these stands for their height, curved appearance, and because the top plates were relatively larger than competitive models. The big problem, however, is that the stands are unstable because their bases are too small and unfortunately, these stands can't be loaded with sand or buckshot to improve the stability. If you have hardwood floors and zero foot traffic near your speakers, you might be OK, but anyone else with stability concerns should think twice before buying these.

These stands do require assembly but they're easy to put together. I didn't have any of the assembly difficulties that the first reviewer described.

This will be short.

PRO: They support heavy speakers.
They are easy to set-up
They come with spikes and round pads for carpet and hard floor
Im not sure why other people said they tip over easy but any speaker stand will tip over if its bumped hard. I have had no problems with falling over and I have to kids and a dog that run all over the place.

CON: only complaint I have is that when using the spikes there is no marker on them so you can have a perfect level stand. you can get them level it just takes a little bit of time to do it.

I love these stands! They're made of metal. So they're strong and sturdy. Plus they look better than any of the other stands I was considering. I don't know why previous reviewers say these stands are unstable. Maybe they bought an older model. I don't see how these stands can tip over unless someone wants to intentionally knocks them over. In that case, all stands are suspect. I've mounted my Polk Audio monitors and I don't have any stability problems or see the need for sandbags, as one reviewer lamented. But, again, my monitors don't weigh a lot. Also, I ordered these stands from Amazon primarily because they had them in stock. I actually found them a little cheaper on a stereo accessory website. However, I would have to wait another week for them to be in-stock. So I'm very happy that Amazon got them to me in 2 days with free shipping as a Prime member! I'd definitely buy another set of these stands and I have no problem recommending Amazon!
