I was apprehensive to say the least by ordering this off the Internet without seeing it in person.

The did tell you to be sure the bracket holding the TV needs to be, but not the one it sits in.

I normally don't write reviews that often but I am very excited about this TV stand I had to share (since there are no other reviews). We have hardwood floors throughout our house, and before getting this stand we had some silver colored cheap stand from IKEA. It certainly lasted long enough, but my wife and I are trying to slowly move out of the college dorm room look... This stand offers a perfect transition from the hardwood floors up to the modern design of the flat panel TV.

This is definitely a very high quality item and at a very reasonable price. My only complaint at first was the cost of shipping. But once I received the shipment I realized why as it weighs around 200 lbs. The wood is dense and seems like it can withstand some abuse over the years, and has a nice mahogany finish. The glass shelves are thick and I didn't have any hesitation putting somewhat heavy A/V equipment on it. The metal frame is solid and you can probably land a helicopter on it.

As far as space goes there is plenty. I was able to comfortably fit: A 5 disk DVD/Stereo receiver, An old VCR (never know, might come in handy someday :), and Xbox 360, a standard size comcast cable receiver, a PS3, and a Wii... And there is still plenty of space in between them so it does not look cluttered. The two drawers at the bottom are large and offer a ton of room for game controllers for all three systems, chargers, remotes, and some other random stuff, with room left over.

What ended up being a selling point for me originally is the 3-in-1 mounting option. My original plan was to mount the TV to the provided post (as pictured) then use the included wall mount later on once we get the walls painted. But once I set the TV up on the post I really loved the way it looked.

The stand does LOOK nice. The problem is the height for the bottom and middle shelf. Forget about fitting a receiver in there. The bottom shelf is only 5.5" high and the middle shelf is only 6.25" high. If you plan to use the included pole, (I didn't because the top of the tv would over five feet from the floor)then you can put a receiver on the top shelf. This is not my first Bell'O stand. I thought they were smarter than this.

I ordered the stand on 8/02/11 but didn't see it until 8/18/11. That was an issue with The Factory Outlet. When the box was delivered it was not damaged. When opened I noticed the front of the draw area had four good scratches in the finish. The packaging includes a marker to repair scratches but I would have perfered to put my own scratches on it so I could thank you later for including the marker. Biggest issue is the two rear lower leg brackets do not line up with the cabinet preset screw holes. It appears during the milling process the holes were drilled too far inward. In order to have a leg that stands square to the cabinet you have to shift it over where there is only one threaded hole available to use. So instead of having two screws holding each rear leg in place you can only use one. Is this safe? I'm not sure but I was just glad to have a place to put my new TV. The whole package weighs approx.130 lbs and I wasn't about to try and send it back after putting it together. The manufacturer needs better quality control. It is a nice unit and the 50" Panasonic GT30 looks great on it without using the TV stand that comes in the package.

Arrived promptly by freight truck with somewhat beat up outside packaging. It is so well protected inside that there was no damage. I read the instructions and this was a challenging task but it was made very doable by the labeling of every single part. The finished piece is a great compliment to our new 55" smart TV and as a bonus holds my component stereo, blu-ray player, and DVR. If you have the option, open the box in the garage; styrofoam pieces everywhere.

My wife and I were ecstatic about the possibility of cleaning up some of the cable clutter in the living room and this has filled that promise in spades. The build quality of the unit is great and my 55" LG TV looks great on it. The open shelves are great for keeping my amplifier cool.

We are very happy with this purchase.

I bought this TV stand and had the TV mounted on the Stand. I must say that it is an exceptional product. It is classy, elegant and significantly enhances the look of my living room. The glass is reasonably heavy and can easily hold a flat screen television. The additional drawers can be used to store DVD's, Cleaning kits etc. hidden from public view which gives it a very neat and compact look. I have 2 kids and since the TV is mounted on the stand, it is out of reach of the kids which makes me happy. This is highly recommended.

My girlfriend was a little skeptical on this piece as she thought it looked too modern but was ok with the purchase as she 'didn't have to love it.'

Now it's set up, the cords are neatly tucked away, the peripherals are organized properly and the sound system is set up, she thinks it is great.

The construction is very sturdy, and one of the main reasons I bought this piece was for the options of having the TV mounted on the 'spine', in addition to mounting it to the wall, or even having it on the shelf. After trying the different positions, we agree that having the TV lower (on the top shelf) is optimal for viewing. Laying on the couch, we didn't want to look up at a TV like we were in the front row of a movie theater.

The unit came packaged in almost perfect condition. The wood was unscratched, the tempered glass was clean. The black, metal framework will have a few scratches on it from the factory however, but these aren't noticeable in the finished assembly. The only thing that was not great in the build, were 1) the plastic end cap on one of the supports for the glass shelf was broken. 2) The middle cable-management black piece in the back/center of the unit is in an L-shape and was not welded at 90deg angles. This made attaching other pieces to it very difficult, and the spine that runs up the middle is not able to be screwed in fully because of the poor angle. I came to this problem later in the construction, so I was at the point of no turning back. The bracket is still in nice and strong, and the TV still mounts straight and looks good, it's just a few threads short of being properly inserted.

Great piece though! Draws glide in and out nicely. The wood is a nice, dark cherry and gives a very sleek, modern look to the living room!
