(Cinderella, to be exact.) This Cinderella dance studio kit comes with a printed invitation to the ball. An instructional DVD by prima ballerina Bella and her friends helps get your little sovereign’s dance steps up to snuff for the big event. Steps are easy to follow with the accompanying Cinderella dance mat, which has footprints to show maidens where to put their feet during each waltz or ballet. Bella teaches her young protégés 10 enchanting dances and 8 songs in all and even touches on how to behave like a princess. The kit comes with a musical wand and three attachments—a magic star, a fairy duster, and an enchanted ribbon—that correspond with particular dances. This is PERFECT for your little girl if she enjoys ballet, dancing, or just feeling like a princess. The child will have a blast and watch the disc over and over. Since it comes with a disc, it will only break or ruin if YOU do something to it. (User abuse.) If you have no intention of taking it outside to use as a frisbee, it should last for a long time.

It also teaches the basic, beginner dance steps. So the educational value is way up there on the scale as well.

If you are considering this for a birthday or end of the year holiday, you won't go wrong!

My five-year-old got this as a gift over the weekend. The first day she wanted to watch it 3 times. The two-year-old was no different.

"Bella" is kind of like your child's favorite babysitter-- she's pretty, older enough to be cool, and has fun activities planned for the kids. However, she goes a little too fast for either of them to really follow the dance instructions just yet. Even with some real dance classes under her belt, my oldest had a hard time getting into first position that fast. But they don't care. They mimic "Bella's" arm movments & spins. They sing the songs even when they aren't watching the DVD. They fight over the magic wand.

The wand, I must say, is kind of cool. It has three different tips that can been changed for the different dances. This does take a little coordination, though.

Bottom line: Fun for girls who like princesses or dancing. Good for getting them off the sofa & moving around. It might reinforce some of what's being learned in a real dance class.

My 4 yr old daughter LOVES this. She got it for her birthday Nov. 1st. She has me help her put on her ballet clothes & shoes when she wants to play it. The first week we had it she must have watched it 4 times a day. It's been about 3 weeks now & she's slowed down a little. Just a little. The attachments are a little tricky for her to get on by herself, but I'm usually close by because I enjoy watching her dance. They should make another DVD to go along with it, giving some choices. VERY VERY CUTE!!! I haven't said that about any toy in a while.
