This is PERFECT for your little girl if she enjoys ballet, dancing, or just feeling like a princess. The child will have a blast and watch the disc over and over. Since it comes with a disc, it will only break or ruin if YOU do something to it. (User abuse.) If you have no intention of taking it outside to use as a frisbee, it should last for a long time.

It also teaches the basic, beginner dance steps. So the educational value is way up there on the scale as well.

If you are considering this for a birthday or end of the year holiday, you won't go wrong!

My five-year-old got this as a gift over the weekend. The first day she wanted to watch it 3 times. The two-year-old was no different.

"Bella" is kind of like your child's favorite babysitter-- she's pretty, older enough to be cool, and has fun activities planned for the kids. However, she goes a little too fast for either of them to really follow the dance instructions just yet. Even with some real dance classes under her belt, my oldest had a hard time getting into first position that fast. But they don't care. They mimic "Bella's" arm movments & spins. They sing the songs even when they aren't watching the DVD. They fight over the magic wand.

The wand, I must say, is kind of cool. It has three different tips that can been changed for the different dances. This does take a little coordination, though.

Bottom line: Fun for girls who like princesses or dancing. Good for getting them off the sofa & moving around. It might reinforce some of what's being learned in a real dance class.

My 4 yr old daughter LOVES this. She got it for her birthday Nov. 1st. She has me help her put on her ballet clothes & shoes when she wants to play it. The first week we had it she must have watched it 4 times a day. It's been about 3 weeks now & she's slowed down a little. Just a little. The attachments are a little tricky for her to get on by herself, but I'm usually close by because I enjoy watching her dance. They should make another DVD to go along with it, giving some choices. VERY VERY CUTE!!! I haven't said that about any toy in a while.

We gave this to our daughter for her 3rd birthday because she loves everthing princess. She had never seen the movie Cinderella or attended any dance classes but she immediately jumped right up and tried to follow along. She absolutely LOVES this DVD, the wand with 3 different attachments, and the durable mat with the feet placement markings. My daughter loves the wand and plays with it even when not watching the DVD. I paid $25 for this and feel that the price is very fair for what you get. If you are looking for a princess/dance DVD that is purely for entertainment purposes and not a substitute for actual dance instruction, then this is a great choice.

My daughter received this as a gift for her 5th birthday and she loves it. And I love it because she's dancing during her TV-time rather than sitting on the couch! Great, great gift!

Side note: We have a similar product that came with a ballet bar, floor mat and video (not Disney). It's awful! The video is boring and makes no sense (my daughter has watched it once in four months). I'm not a huge Disney fan, but this video is much more engaging than other products on the market.

My sister gave this to my 2 year old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it!! Although she can't quite follow all of the moves, she gets up and shakes it to the cute songs.

This bella is different from the ballerina version and a better hostess for little ones. The entire DVD is based on Disney's Cinderella with little clips from the movie and the singing is really nice! Very well put together and choreographed, it's definitely got a lot of that disney charm that everyone loves so much.

The box contains a magic wand with 3 attachments- one for a feather dusting dance (with a really cute song, I might add) a star (for dancing to bibbidi bobbidi boo) and a ribbon for a sweet little ribbon twirling dance near the end.

I recommend this dvd to any little girl who dreams that she is a princess no matter what the age. It's cute to watch and the music will have girls of all ages nodding their heads.

Best gift she received this Christmas and must have for every little girl!

My (almost) 5yr old daughter received this for Christmas and it is, by far, her favorite toy. The only problem is that we can't watch it when her best friend comes over because they fight over the wand and the mat. (We are seriously considering getting a second set just for the extra mat and wand!)

I know a lot of the reviewers say the mat is useless, and I agree to some extent because the foot positions it shows are not actually 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position... but... WHO CARES! My daughter can't quite keep up with a lot of the dance moves, but having the mat helps her know approximately where her feet are SUPPOSED to be, and I figure in a month or so, she will be able to keep up.

My daughter really loves the wand, and pretends it is a phone that Bella and her friends use to call her when it's time to dance!

My daughter got this for her 3rd birthday. She loves it. Some of the moves are hard for her to do, but she loves the music and the wand. Any Princess would love this toy.

Little Amy, five, and Autumn, four, absolutely LOVE this toy, they are MESMERIZED by it. Wish you could buy a second wand for it, but the kids are resourseful, they have already created a second wand out of a majorette baton. The mat they don't pay much atention to, they simply copy every move on the CD. It's fun and engaging. I am real happy with everything I've ordered from Amazon this year.

My five year old got this and absolutely loves it. I had to help quite a bit at first but she got it. We started out just copying Bella and not using the mat. Caution however: No way is this appropriate for a 3 or 4 year old. It's complex-- having to listen, watch, and do the steps all at once. I don't know why the recommended age is 3-8, it should really be 5-8.
