I bought this item as a Christmas present. Based on advertisements, I thought it would be fun and appropriate for my seven year old daughter. After opening this gift, my daughter looked forward to playing and dancing along with the video. My daughter has played the video twice now. The "Bella Studios" introduction at the beginning of the video is obnoxiously loud and goes on far too long (at least 3 minutes). Once the instruction does start, my daughter has, thus far, found it too complicated to follow. The dotted floor mat provided with the video does assist in executing the dance moves described by the video's narrator/instructor but the dance steps are quite sophisticated and difficult for young kids. I believe this would provide a great work out and a lot of fun for kids at least 9 years of age and up.

I bought Bella Dancerella Popstar and I absoloutly love it! The headset holds up well and the sound is great. The dance mat is easy to use along with the video. The video actually taught me to dance! At first, I didn't know how do dance like this at all. After the movie, I remembered everything, practiced, and now I'm dancing with ease! I love this and have not stopped using it since I got it. Great toy!
