I used the original formula with my first 2 children, this pregnancy I purchased my tummy honey as usual but all of the ingredients have been changed, and it doesn't work well at all. The company was bought out by giant LEARNING CURVE who then replaced all the quality ingredients with cheaper stuff that doesn't work and added a bunch of perfume instead to mimic the herbal smell. I'm REALLY not happy with the new formula, it causes my skin to itch - most likely due to the high amount of undisclosed chemicals in the "fragrance" ingredient which is present in VERY large amounts of the new formula. VERY disappointed long time customer here.

I discovered this shortly after learning I was pregnant. Bath and Body Works at our mall was consistently out of their cocoa butter stretch mark cream a friend had reccommended. So I was desperate to find a good affordable stretch mark preventative, because my sister developed the worst stretch marks I've ever seen during her pregnancy, and my mom has quite a lot of them too. I also have some leftover from puberty. I found this stuff online and it was very well reviewed and even used by some celebrities, so I decided to give it a go. I also liked the fact that it is all natural, sustainable, and contained all the ingredients I'd ever heard of using for stretch mark prevention.

I used it every day during my pregnancy (starting at about 12 weeks), after showering and before bed until 3 weeks before my due date, and did not get a single mark. The ones on my hips from my teen years pretty much disappeared, too. And, in addition, I never had the slightest itchiness that most of my pregnant friends have complained about (another reviewer said it made her itch, so I can only conclude she must be allergic to one of the ingredients). Then I ran out. The store where I've been buying it locally was out of it too. Since I was already so huge, and hadn't gotten any stretch marks, I decided to buy some of the Tummy Honey Cream, which they still had in stock. I immediately noticed my skin was kind of itchy and got worse as it dried out and the day wore on. Then, about a week after I stopped using the Tummy Honey Butter, I got a stretch mark. It is not a really dreadful dark red or purple one, but there it is, in all its pinkish brown unsightliness.... So of course I went back to the store to see if they had any of the butter yet, if not to fix my new stretch mark, then at least to soothe this infernal itchiness.

They don't. Which is why I've turned to Amazon to find some, quick! Even if my due date is now only 4 days away, I suspect it will help, and may also fade the little stretch marks starting to show up on my breasts. This stuff is mandatory. I think I'll buy a case next time I find out I'm pregnant, so I don't run out. If I have extra, it'll make a nice baby shower gift for someone. Read more ›

I used the butter with both of my pregnancies and did'nt get any marks at all!! In fact, little white growth marks on my legs from high school disappeared! I would recommend this to everyone who is pregnant! Plus my husband loved the smell of it too!!

I really liked this product. I didn't get any strech marks until the last few weeks of my pregnancy and I chalk that up to good genes more than anything. Regardless though the product did keep me from itching my belly as much as my skin tightened and was mostorizing without being to greasy. I am still using the product three weeks after having my baby and the streach marks seem to be fading away. I am now buying the product for my best friend who is pregnant.

I am so disappointed with this belly butter...it is greasy and grainy and does not absorb into the skin. I bought it because of the great reviews, but am not sure how anyone can enjoy wearing this if they actually have to put clothing on after applying it.

After application, I could not get the oily film it left on my hands off with soap and water - I had to use a towel to scrub it off. After lying around without a shirt for an hour or so to hope it would absorb, I gave up and put an old shirt on before going to sleep. When I woke up, the oily residue had penetrated my shirt and left a film all over my good sheets.

I can't imagine having to apply this mess of a belly butter in the morning before work...not a pretty side to have it absorb through my clothing as the day passes.

Even if this product did prevent stretch marks, I can't see how anyone could actually use it unless they were able to walk around topless all day. I won't wait around to find out - I'll be looking for an alternative that's actually usable and doesn't make you feel like an oily, greasy, mess.

I read a lot of amazing reviews of this product before I bought it. It's made by a California company and the ingredients are almost all natural/herbal. So I thought "great, this is the perfect product for me!" Unfortunately, as soon as I opened the jar, I was assaulted by the extremely strong fragrance. This is a product made almost entirely of herbs of one kind or another, so it would probably be very smelly on its own (in a nice way!), but Bella B thought it would be a good idea to ADD fragrance (listed in the ingredients as "fragrance" -- what does THAT mean?). It's extremely strong-smelling, and the one day I tried it I had a headache all day from the fumes. Just awful. I am so disappointed that a product made almost entirely of natural ingredients would have such a strong unnatural fragrance added. I will never use this again. $20 down the drain.

I've been using Palmer's Cocoa butter for 6 months, and never really liked the vanilla scent, so I thought about switching to Honey. Bella B sounded like a good product and had good reviews. So last night I tried it.

This morning I woke up with 3 big stretch marks spanning my entire stomach. I was horrified. This stuff doesn't do anything! Then I went back to the reviews and noticed that the best reviews are basically from a long time ago, before the company was acquired, and apparently they changed the formula.
