5.0 out of 5 stars Sterch Mark Free
I hopped on here to get this stick for my girlfriend who is pregnant ans stopped to read some of the reviews. I used this all through my first pregnancy on boobs and belly and I now have absolutely no stretch marks on either after gaining 55 lbs .and going back down to size 6. 2.0 out of 5 stars Buy the Tub, Not the Stick
I have ordered the 4 oz. tub of Bella B's Honey Butter and liked it, thus far. I am only 15 weeks along in my pregnancy though, so I am still not sure on if it is effective on fighting stretch marks.

However, this stick, which I thought would save me time (since I wouldn't have to wash my hands), is NOT the answer.

THE WORST PART: It is gritty...

5.0 out of 5 stars Sterch Mark Free, March 19, 2010
This review is from: Bella B Tummy Honey Stick - 2.8 oz (Health and Beauty)
I hopped on here to get this stick for my girlfriend who is pregnant ans stopped to read some of the reviews. I used this all through my first pregnancy on boobs and belly and I now have absolutely no stretch marks on either after gaining 55 lbs .and going back down to size 6. I did not, however, use it on my boody and I definately have some stretch marks there. I want to address those who said it was gritty and greasy as well. I think that has more to do with shipping than the actual product. If oil hits extreme temperatures during the shipping process it will definately become gritty. I have experienced this when flying with my emu oil, another great product. After unpacking what was once smooth and contained it was oily and gritty. So don't be too quick to give up on the product itself maybe just try to find it locally or shipped direct by the company.
Another great thing I loved about this stick was that there was very little smell which as we all know can be an issue with preggers. Hope everyone has a great pregnancy.

THE WORST PART: It is gritty. It actually looks like there are pebbles of some sort in it. It goes on very rough, it's sort of unpleasant, and my shirt made it all ball up. I had it all over the place!

ANOTHER BAD FEATURE: When this showed up, I had bought two. They were both in a plastic cover; but, they were all greasy on the outside. Even after I took the plastic off, the container was greasy. I had to wash it off with soap or I couldn't even hold onto it tightly without losing grip.

The only good thing about it is, that it seems to keep my tummy moist and it smells just the same.

Go with the 4 oz. tub!

5.0 out of 5 stars no stretch marks for me, June 3, 2009

I used this through both of my pregnancies and have ZERO stretch marks. (Gained 35 pounds each time.) Maybe I have good genes? Not sure, but I would definately use it again.

I've used this for months now and it's not sticky, you don't have to touch the product, which is great, and it really works to keep skin supple!

2.0 out of 5 stars Gritty product, poor service, September 17, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bella B Tummy Honey Stick - 2.8 oz (Health and Beauty)
I purchased this product from a local store during my first pregnancy and loved it. It went on silky smooth, smelled good, stopped the itching. Sadly the local store no longer carries it, so I bought it from BeautyCost.

I bought two, opened the first and it felt like they'd poured sand into the mix. The second was okay--not great. I called BeautyCost and they said that I couldn't return it since I'd opened it. (How was I to know that the product was defective or old without opening it??) Then the person on the line said, oh yeah, because of the natural ingredients, that product gets gritty. Yeah... Not buying the product again, not buying anything from them again.

I got this to prevent stretchmarks and eventhough excess weight gain and lack of water can contribute, I feel this has to help. I am 6 months and not one stretch mark yet. Plus most of the ingredients are natural. I like it!

This has a great smell. The honey is crystallized, so it has an exfoliant feel to it. I think it probably helps for it to absorb into skin better. It is a little greasy on the outside. I bought it because I couldn't take my over 3oz lotion onto the plane. It's a solid, which can be convenient. I think it is one of the top stretch mark prevention creams I have used so far. I have tried a lot. This works on existing striae. Vaseline, Intensive Care, Cocoa Butter, 24.5 oz Bottle (Pack of 3)

1.0 out of 5 stars Not As Good As I Expected, August 25, 2009
By
This review is from: Bella B Tummy Honey Stick - 2.8 oz (Health and Beauty)
I bought two because it was BOGO at the time. As another reviewer said, they arrived wrapped in plastic, but they were still greasy on the outside. It was pretty greasy to use too. My main problem with this product is that, while it says "anti-itch formula," it actually made my skin itchy with small red dots that hadn't happened before using this product. So, I stopped using it after a few days. The only thing I liked about it was that it smells nice. It was definitely not as good as it is advertised to be.

I thought this product would go on more like a lotion, but I put in on at night and the next day I had little chunks of it all over my belly. I does smell really good. I'm not sure, but if you rubbed it in with your hand after applying it, these chunks may go away.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing..., August 10, 2008
This review is from: Bella B Tummy Honey Stick - 2.8 oz (Health and Beauty)
In my first pregnancy, I used the cocoa butter stick from The Body Shop - loved it! Unfortunately, they are out of stock, so this time around I bought the Bella B Tummy Honey Stick. HATE IT! It is very sticky and gritty, not smooth at all. I'm going back to creams/lotions until the cocoa butter stick from The Body Shop is back.
