Belle's Tales of Friendship is a made-for-video treat that finds an innovative outlet for Disney entertainment old and new. Although the cover is of the animated Belle from Beauty and the Beast, this program's star is Lynsey McLeod as a live-action Belle. À la Barney, she invites grade-school kids to come into her bookshop to listen to tales, play games, and learn simple lessons. Her stories come in the form of classic Disney cartoons, which rarely have a good showcase these days. Belle supplies narration for the circa 1950s animated shorts of "Hansel & Gretel," "The Three Little Pigs," and "Morris the Midget Moose." This video's highlight is "Mrs. Potts' Party," a never-before-seen segment that was made for Beauty and the Beast: An Enchanted Christmas but never used. It works as a wonderful short, albeit for only 10 of the video's 70 minutes. --Doug Thomas

Belle is beautiful and enchanting as ever! This video is great!....You have to remember it was a Disney Christmas story set in the world of Beauty and the Beast. What more could you want? Revisit the magic is TALES OF FRIENDSHIP!

Bell,her Book and Music Shop and the Characters inside are charming indeed!The animated storys are also presented nicely particularly Mrs Pott's Party which teaches a lesson in working together which is the theme of the film.It leans a bit toward very young audiences but I find it delightful!

Several classic Disney cartoons are loosely tied together with new songs and the underlying theme of friends working together and helping eachother. My almost-four year old son has watched this video MANY times and still does not tire of it.
