Format: Paperback
If your 9-to-14-year-old kid could use a little more discipline, you may want to give him or her BELLE'S TRIAL, the second in a delightful series of dog-narrated books that hopefully will continue to expand. You can tell the author is a real dog lover because Belle's dog perceptions are spot-on and it is great fun to regard the world through her eyes (and ears and nose!). But in spite of the fact that she is more likely to understand a situation through the various scents that emanate from it than by the "look" of it, she has enough in common with real people to make her an inspiration for human pursuits. In BELLE'S TRIAL she will have to overcome her fears in order to discover the joys of discipline and the success it can lead to.
